Nice and peaceful place on your private Lake! Just follow a very old unmainted Road in to the Forest, then torn right and drive over the Rocks to the lake...! not easy to level the Car. Just possible with small 4x4 Cars/Campers and high clearance!!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
It’s my second stay at this place. It’s really nice, with a wonderfull view over the lake. The highway is very close, so you have the noise. But for a spot directly at the Trans Canada HWY it’s a true gem.
Report Check-Invery nice quite spot but with a lot of mosquito & horseflies but would definitely come again :)
Report Check-InVery nice place. Watch for the big hole in the middle at the entrance. Was curious, just stop to make lunch not to stay the night. Need a high clearance car for sure.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot beside the lake. Short drive from the highway. High clearance vehicle required to get all the way to the lake. Doesn’t look like anyone has been here for a long time. Heard a blue-headed vireo on arrival.
Report Check-InAwesome. Definitely want to have high clearance and 4WD. Water warm for swimming. Be sure to turn right at the fork. Look for the bumpy, rocky road. That's the one you want!
Stayed here in the beginning of May. Very rough getting in, in our extended, high roof ford transit. Also very difficult to turn around in our vehicle, but wasn't impossible. Probably wouldn't recommend it in a large van or without oversized, off-road tires. Beautiful spot though, absolutely worth it if you can safely make it in. Sink hole still there, but we were able to drive around it safely.
Report Check-InAbsolutely gorgeous. No mosquitoes at the moment; intermittent cell service. Can still hear the highway but the sunset makes up for it.
Report Check-InGreat site! Road is slightly overgrown in early August but easy once you get to the rocks near the lake. Beware the half track sinkhole just after you leave the highway. Site is fantastic — your own private lake. Minimal highway sounds (in the distance) and even less so overnight. Good for a tent. Lake water is warm (again, early August) and great for a swim.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot next to the lake, and far enough away from the highway.
Sink hole opening up on the road, but can be avoided for now.
Follow the old paved road that nature is taking back, and turn right into the trees where the 'no dumping' sign is on the ground.
Two spaces for vehicles, the last spot dead ending. Definitely need high clearance.
Lots of mosquitoes!
perfect spot. took my very loaded nonlifted forester in with no issues, maybe a scrape or two. 10/10
Report Check-Inbeautiful spot with good fishing ans swimming. Mosquitoes and No-see-um in july
Report Check-InWonderful place as described at a lake. High clearance is a must! We did it with our Toyota Landcruiser without problems.
Report Check-InThis was a pretty amazing spot. Certainly do need a 4x4 and it was fairly grown in now that it is mid summer but worth the treck. Couple old fire pits there on the water. Beautiful!
Report Check-InAs described. Very grown in road now however! Floral scrapes are worth the view on the lake. Need 4x4 and high clearance.
