Description

PRICE FROM 1 JANUARY 2024: 760 NAD per campsite. Located very close to a small waterfall with a natural pool. Really clean water with a nice temperature. Camping spots have roofed shelter, private ablutions with flush toilets, hot showers, light and dishwashing sink. There is a power socket as well, not sure if it runs without solar. All are walking distance from the natural pool. MTC internet unstable. No wifi, no power. Beautiful sunset from uphill (short walk 100mts from campsite). Water not potable as it comes from stream itself, not from the fountain or borehole.

Latest Check-Ins

Price update from Jan 24: N$ 760 per campsite. Not sure if extra is charged for more people. We didn’t stay, but really enjoyed the visit to the waterfall as day guests (N$ 70 pp).

Report Check-In

We just called in as day visitors and fell in love with the place. Very beautiful. We had so much fun swimming at the bottom of the waterfall and were really happy we visited. At the deepest point the water was well over my shoulders, and although not hot, it certainly wasn’t cold either. A very pleasant temperature.
Campsites looked very nice and well set up with all the facilities you need. Clean private ablutions with nice hot showers. Sites looked a bit close together but that would only be an issue if the place is full. We were the only ones there today.
We paid N$60 pp for the day entry. Worth noting that credit card is accepted!

Report Check-In

A great surprise after a rather rocky but well maintained track (6km but feels longer) 9 sites all with own bathrooms with light, flushing toilet and great shower ( hot water from a donkey) Peaceful, just the sound of water and birds. The waterfall is small ( at this time of year) but falls into a crystal clear pool to swim in just a few steps up from the campsite. Very nice concrete plinth with shade, kitchen area and light. This campsite took a lot of effort to create and is well maintained. 660 nab doll per night per campsite.

Report Check-In

prices see picture.
expensive but the waterfall pool is fantastic, you have a big roof over your side for shadow. ablution good, no toilet paper when we arrived.
manager on site not the friendliest person but ok.
many kids on the street west of the camp selling things and firewood or just show they are hungry. 2 year old girl standing in the sun to sell anything and parents sitting in the shadow 100m away. what a shame.

Report Check-In

Well maintained campsite with private ablutions. Pricey at R640 for 2 people but we felt it worth it. Camp manager not the friendliest but not at all rude. The natural pool is great to soak off the dust.

Report Check-In

very unfriendly person who works here. did not look at us when we asked for the price, but threw a paper towards us with the price. Nam 330,00 pp is the new privé. We did not stay here.

Report Check-In

we riched this nice place with our bullnose truck and a Iveco Truck. it was a bit rocky but no problem. payed 250 pppn.

Report Check-In

Just have been asked for prices. 250 NAB per person. Only Toilets, shower and you can go to the waterfall for free. To much expensive for us we left and just have been to the waterfall.

Report Check-In

Great campsite, road slightly improved, has private toilet and shower for each campsite, no WiFi.

Report Check-In

600nad per campsite was far too much. Views from camp unfortunately were disappointing as it had a lot of grass and algae growing over the stream. The man for some reason was insistent that we camped at the furthest possible spot from the waterfall, with the least scenic views, even though there was nobody else there. Ablutions looked really nicely done but we couldn’t justify the price, drove to palmwag lodge instead which is similar in price however has a lot more facilities.
Also the 6km road to waterfall is still pretty rocky.

Report Check-In

Not expensive if you consider what you get! Large campsite (some shaded) with proper roofed area, concrete kitchen top with double sink, tap, boma and private shower, toilet and basin. Nd250pp in our opinion is worth it. Natural pool with waterfall is great and refreshing.

Report Check-In

Yes it's the most expensive campsite we've been to in Namibia (and we've been to more than 100) but at least the efforts are there: clean, organised, well maintained. Non negotiable as the care taker comes in with the official price papers and receipt. He's not much of a talker neither. PRICE FROM 1 JANUARY 2021 UNTIL 31 DECEMBER 2021: 600 NAD per campsite for up to 2 people + 250 NAD ppn for additional people. Very nice natural pool at the waterfall. Beautiful sunset from uphill 100 mts from campsite. Many love birds coming to eat at the figue tree by the pool, bee-eaters coming for a splash, and Egyptian gooses walking around in the lushy green grass. The spots that are closer to the waterfall have less or none tree shade, but the ones downstream have more natural shade. All of them have roof shelters.

Report Check-In

Very nice campsite.
Every spot with own ablutions, shower and kitchen area.
Everything is clean and well organized.
In the evening the donkey showers are heated.
There is also a guy selling fresh fruits and vegetables.
So worth a visit.
Go and have a bath in the small pool at the natural water source.

Report Check-In

now they ask 300 ppP for 1 night camping!
We just stayed as dayvisitors 60 ppP

Report Check-In

We planned to stay two nights but only stayed one - price was $300 pp!/night. Manager was very pleasant and great facilities but this better suited to an overnight stay.

Report Check-In

It's 6 km from the main road, a bit rocky and bumpy but no problem! Every campsite has it's own ablutions, fire place and cooking area with shelter. There is a gorge where you looking at from the campsite. There is light at night but no electricity at sites. Nice natural pool(cold) and small waterfall where you can take a dip to cool down.
The young manager is very friendly and even arranged fresh bread(10$N) and eggs from a lady in the village. He told us there is also somebody who has fresh fruit and vegetables.
Very quiet at night except for the frog concert.
600$N per campsite, if you are with more than 2 people it's 250$N p.p.p.n.

Report Check-In

We repeatedly checked their website as we were convinced we were somewhere else ... met by a man waving a receipt book who had little interest in the state of the place or the many goats in the pool. Not recommended

Report Check-In

Still charged at 250 NAD pppn. Ablutions are very nicely designed and clean. Staff came to start donkey in the afternoon. Rockpool was covered in algea as not used in lockdown and staff cleaned most of it for us. Beautiful setting, pool temperature nice and refreshing (it wasn't hot).

Report Check-In

Forget the USB charging - plenty are glued to prevent use by customers. Nice place; good facilities. But we didn’t have a good experience with management. Keeping track of our booking didn’t seem to be easy business. Price: 600 NAD for two, with one car, per night.

Report Check-In

Very clean and well maintaind communal campsite direct acces to the Falls were You can swim in the refreshing water! New and clean ablutions! Very quiet at night!

Report Check-In

They wanted 550 N$ for 2 adults. We asked for a discount but the manager said NO. The spaces are far too close together and do not have great views. We would recommend to visit the waterfall as a day guest which cost 50N$ pp and then camp at the Khowarib Community Camp which is much nicer and only cost 100N$ pppn.

Report Check-In

This is such an amazing place! We asked for a discount and got it for 300 for 2 people instead of 500. The 500 NAD are actually for the site (max. 5 people). Beautiful waterfall into a natural swimming pool. Electricity at each site but only for light and USB charging (no AC). Clean and nice ablutions. Definitely worth the money.

Report Check-In

Overpriced with 500N$ per site! Apparently no discount allowed. We left the place.

Report Check-In

We didn't stay because it was 250pp. Under new ownership apparently. A new community campsite is being constructed nearby which will be 160pppn. Very rocky road leading to the camping.
