Nice place to camp with views of mountain, close to town, no water, good road, be careful of fires.

Stayed here for Two days. Nice spot in the forest. Gravel road all the way up. Easy
Report Check-Inwhat a lovely place to camp! quiet time of year made for a plus. thank you G and C!
Report Check-InNo Visible service and very tight turn around for bigger rigs - be warned :) head into Mazama instead.
Report Check-InThe stream to get to this location is pretty high and the bottom is about 5 inches of wet sand. It's probably pretty easy with AWD but we didn't attempt it in our van.
Report Check-InWe stayed in the spot to the left just as you drive into the evergreens. There are several spots along this road that can fit just about any rig! There was one spot just before ours that was in the open surround by the mountains, but it was already taken when we were there. Spotty Verizon reception, but we got by with a booster.
Report Check-InThere are two campsites next to the pond first on the left and the second one on the left. This marker is for the second campsite and we stayed at the first. This is a nice primitive campsite with a pond full of wildlife in May. Just down from this site is a great view of the valleys and the Cascades there is good cell service at this site. They wrote up is a bit steep and wash body but doable in just about every vehicle as long as you go slow. This campsite is appropriate for smaller vehicle if you could get a small trailer into it mostly for vans and trucks campers.
Report Check-InEpic Views. Incredible Area! plenty of space for people to spread out. Several Camp sites. i did cross a small stream coming in but my van did fine with it so most cars could handle it.
Report Check-Insweet spot! shaded, by the pond, and weth great cell, both tmobile and verizon. other spots nearby too. enjoy!
Report Check-InGreat spot still. Very dry when we were there, making the silt like dirt very dirty on everything. Nice and quiet though and you can hear the ducks at night on the pond. Descent cell service.
Report Check-InThis a great spot. Additional sites to west beyond the pond among large meadows and a stand of Ponderosa pines. While the roads leading up to Sullivan Pond are steep, once up on the shelf the grades are moderate and would be good for wandering on your gravel or mountain bikes.
Report Check-InGreat spot up on the hill overlooking Winthrop. Few sites around the pond, but we were the only ones staying here for the night. Very quiet except for the frogs and birds around the pond. 3 bars LTE on Verizon.
