Latest Check-Ins

This is a terrible, inaccessible area for most rigs. 4x4 is required to venture farther in because the ground is one big rock and it goes straight uphill. Even the large clearing close to the road is so slanted that no amount of leveling blocks will help. And it’s so rocky that you’ll bounce an RV apart just trying to turn around and leave.

Report Check-In

Not exactly sure if this is where I stayed but after you turn off 88 you can go further in up a steep rocky road (I out my truck in 4wd). At the top there are two possibly three pull ins for cars
only 1 fire pit was built but traces of other fires were recognizable on the ground. The view is amazing, overlooking the lake and in line of site of the visitor pull off overlook. It was 107f most of the day but me and my Akita Rocky made through. Would live to revisit in cooler weather.

Report Check-In

If you have a little clearance drive down the trail a few hundred yards and you'll find a few little areas with firepits. Throughout the night there were noisy motorcycles and cars carving through the twisty road which was a bit of an annoyance.

Stayed here in a 40ft bus, with two other large Buses, and two Toyota dolphins with no issues. There is a pull through at the bottom which is relatively level, spots around it can be level fairly easily. During the day there is a lot of road noise, at night it’s one of the most peaceful places we’ve stayed at.

There is no cell service with AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, or T-Mobile, but a hike up the OHV path will take you to a hill top with power lines and poles, you can get relatively good 3G service for notifications, socials, and email.

Be aware of rain if you stay in the middle of the pull through, it is prone to puddling.

This is a bit more than a pullout. It's a steep rocky road that can go back pretty far. If you don't have a high clearance vehicle, there's a larger area just next to the road that's easy to access (though not the flattest and can be noisy with proximity to road). If you're high clearance, you can drive a bit further up the steep road to access the more private spots. Beautiful area nonetheless, nice view of the mountains. Can still hear the road a bit from all spots. Free, no amenities.
