Description

Beautiful and safe place at a public beach. Some people at the weekend, but not too much. We liked it much more then parque aquatico.

Dormimos duas noites neste local.

We slept two nights in this place. During the day some people went to the lake, but at night we were alone. It seems that the restaurants are only open on the weekend.

Very quiet and safe for thé night. People very friendly and good view. Don’t go via Huaycopungo if you clearance is not very very high but Cachoviro (via sign muelle Cachoviro then via Jose Jara then Calle Imbakucha then turn right on football field) if you come from big road

Dormimos duas noites aqui.

Super quiet while we were here.
This is the easiest spot to get to, we found the road to the other two spots was waaaay too steep. Would've burned a lot of gas trying to go uphill again. Just take a right further into town and you have a smooth ride going slowly down!

As you might expect this a night time hangout spot. Even mid week people were playing music and drinking till late. Lots of people just around through the night. The second night they were having a Christmas party so we moved around the lake. No annoying yappy dogs over there.

Nice spot. Quiet (both night and morning). Safe. Nice morning views.

Arrived evening and a local suggested we go to the ‘port’....you can see the flags on the shore from here. He said it’s safe here, but even more so at the ‘port’ (added in Overlander) as locals sleep there too.

Report Check-In

Very quiet place with a beautiful view on the lake and the Cerro Imbabura. Large flat space. A closed hostal nearby. Public toilets, clean, were open in a small cabaña.
The road to come from San Rafael does not exist in Google maps but Maps.me. Last kilometer is unpaved with some holes but no difficulty for all types of vehicles. Really nice spot that we recommend!
