.....
Wide open spaces, right on the beach. Bathrooms with clean toilets, toilet rings and paper! Hot showers at some bathrooms. Sinks for dishes with warm water (thermal?) at some bathrooms. Price now $23 per night for no hookups. Attached motel is $40 per night. Potable water for sale at RV mini mart next door. Great privacy. This is the renowned Punta Banda beach where hot water seeps up through the sand at low tide. The steam and bubbles can be seen just below the beach access stairs - but only at low tide.

Latest Check-Ins

This is right across from “ La Jolla Beach Camp “ I tried to see if I could sleep where the other location states which is “ La Jolla Beach Camp “ but they seem to have gates. I got here pretty late like at 10 pm so I assume they close the gates around or before that time. But I asked the security guy at this location if I could please just sleep for a few hours and I’d leave early morning. He said “not a problem “ & that he would let the other security guy know that I’m here. I’m stealthy btw. Just a small suv.

Report Check-In

Closed! Security guard told us it has been closed since the pandemic, so I'm curious what these other reviews are talking about. Picture attached to prove it!

Report Check-In

Update: Bathrooms are all locked, at least the ones along the beach.

Report Check-In

Large open sites. Our 2 rigs (Winn View and Navion) are the only ones down here by the beach. Haven't checked out the bathrooms yet will update. We paid 475 pesos, no hook ups. Windy cool day but sunny.

Report Check-In

We backed up our trailer overlooking the beach (chain link fence and you are about 12' higher than beach). View is great. Better than what I could see at the other 2 campsites. We were the only campers in all 3 sites. its 496 pesos for no services. No hookups at sites at all. The beach was clean-ish based on what I've seen in mainland MX before (non RVing). The beach was better here than Villarionos. The hotsprings are right out front at low tide.

Report Check-In

We arrived and the gates were closed, the security guard indicated they were not renting out spaces. We headed to Campo Meneses instead and had a great stay. Check out our review there.

Report Check-In

Arrived here tonight and the gate says it’s closed. Security guard ushered us away. We camped at campo meneses instead after spending 20 minutes trying to find hacienda de Pamela

Report Check-In

Right by the ocean. Kind of pricey 516 Pesos. No hot showers that we could find. One bathroom stall unlocked. We stayed one night. Enjoyed our stay. Found the thermol hot spring by the ocean at low tide and dug a small pool. Water was very hot.

Report Check-In

The gate says "cerrado" but for $25 US/night, you can park right next to the beach and one toilet stall is unlocked. The showers are locked, but a sign closer to the office said "hot showers", though we did not try them.

Report Check-In

place actually closed. hate open for residents.

Report Check-In

Water from spigots is salty. Beach is nice but campground is a bit run down. $23/night. New propane station just outside on the road towards Ensenada.

Report Check-In

Our first stop after driving everyday from the Okanagan(Vernon). Stayed two nights to get our feet under us again. Not too nice, kinda dirty and run down. If we didn’t need to stock up and get phones working etc probably would have kept driving. I don’t recommend this place. Vitrines next door looked better

Report Check-In

Beautiful Beach Location.
30amp hook ups available at some spots. (Recommend extension cord)
Tons of toilets, they’re cleaned daily.
Hot and Cold Showers. Salt Water. (Could be cleaner)
No wifi (that we were told about)
$23usd per night, more in pesos as they don’t have a set peso price & convert price in USD.

Report Check-In

Spent a night. As described. We came late 8:30 pm.

Report Check-In

Old tv park - dry and run down. Never found the hot springs. Bummer. Expensive but that’s what happens close to the boarder

Report Check-In

This was our first spot that we camped in Baja and only stayed one Night. We paid 19 USD which was a little pricey. No negotiating. Nice clean bathrooms. Didn’t try the showers but heard they were salt water. On low tide you can dig a hole in the sand and make your own hot springs.

Report Check-In

Camp right on the beach. USD19 a night. Clean flushing toilets. Hot showers. Suitable for big rigs.

Report Check-In

This place is awesome! Wonderful beach, clean bathrooms, very few people and thermal vents coming up through the sand. I prefer boondocking but really liked this place enough to stay two nights.

Report Check-In

Bird's eye view of the campground at 5:58 here: https://youtu.be/Y1KYwvE3P3I

We loved the location of this campground and we felt very safe here. The showers were warm and the flush toilets were clean. We couldn't dump our grey water because of the slope leading up to the dump station. The electric ports were awkward too. This spot is best enjoyed without hookups so you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the surf. The camp residents were very friendly and we would definitely stay here again.

Report Check-In

Bathrooms and showers are all clean. paid $19 U.S. for one night. There is a security guy during the day.

Report Check-In

Exactly as described. $19 USD for one night for the whole family (2 adults 3 kids). We are right on the beach and have tons of room all to ourselves! The beach is a little dirty, but it’s not too bad and it didn’t stop us from really enjoying ourselves!

Report Check-In

As described, right on the beach. Semisalty showers. Paid 780 pesos for two nights for two people (weekend of the race). Many locals also camping here.

Report Check-In

Muy lindo lugar con vista al mar, baños limpios. Ducha de agua caliente pero de agua salada. Pagamos 19 USD por noche. Muy tranquilo. Wifi en recepcion.

Report Check-In

Deserted in early October. Large ex-pat community. Ran into other overlanders here. Sweet man renting boogie boards names Chuck will help with anything. Cost $19 plus $4 for electric hook up. No freshwater available. Hot saltwater showers and clean flushing toilets.

Report Check-In

Camping steps away from the beach is the selling point here, as are friendly staff and loads of expatriots that form a tight-knit community. Many seasonal residences beyond the beach. Mostly local guests, especially on weekends. Gated entrance, 24-hour security, nearby restaurants, laundry, mechanic. About 45 mins from downtown Ensenada.

Report Check-In

Our first campground at our first Baja journey; stayed two nights; all in all the site looks a little bit run down, flush toilet and showers, the very special thing to do is sitting in the hot springs at the beach at low tide...pretty cool...ähm..hot!

Report Check-In

Spots directly on the beach. Paid $20 for one night. Gated. Bathrooms with flushable toilets. Didn’t check out showers.
We ate at Mama Bears very close by and they were very friendly.

Report Check-In

Nice beach camping, albeit a bit expensive (19US$). Everything as described. The hot springs at the beach are really nice :) the tamales sold on the road were very tasty 😋

Report Check-In

decent spot. just our 2nd night in Mexico so not much to compare it to. just one other truck here. showers away from beach were very hot but water seemed salty. toilets clean. Wi-Fi only near office. parked right on the beach 200 feet from low tide hot springs (better if we had a shovel)

$19/night for 1-4 people.

Report Check-In

$11 a night if paying by the month. Bring a shovel to enjoy the ancient hot springs. Can find shrimp, octopus and starfish under the rocks. Bathrooms are nice and plentiful. Showers are hot with strong pressure but the water is salty. Only a handful of powered sites but you're right on the beach! Lots of welcoming, long-term American and Canadian expats. Lovely stay!

Report Check-In

Bring a shovel to the beach at low tide and make your own hot tub as the water that seeps from the sand can be almost too hot to touch! Hot showers are available in the bathroom near the office. Large area, security all night, on the beach.

Report Check-In

$12 for one person, park directly on the beach only a few feet from the water

Report Check-In

The cost was 21uS$ for two adults and two kids. Too expensive for what they offered... basically just a parking lot on the beach. The RV dump station is awful, you can't use it because it's always full and apparently there is no way for them to empty it. The running water is salty.

Report Check-In

It's 17 US$ for up to 4 people. No bargaining. If you want to pay in local currency they use a calculator to convert it with the current exchange rate. High speed internet close to the reception, beach camping area is out of range.

Report Check-In

At the beach, cold showers. 315 pesos for 1-4 people. WiFi at the office

Report Check-In

Conveniant location. Nice beach. We paid 305 Pesos per night for 2 people.

Report Check-In

camped here our first nignt on the baja. really enjoyed the thermal beach pools :) look for the steam on the beach then dig with a shovel. wait for it to cool and climb in- enjoy the heat.
paid 18$ (2 adults 2 kids) and available hookups for extra 3$. right on the beach.
place itself was ok for but kinda expensive considering.

Report Check-In

Beachfront camping. Very nice staff. Xmas gifts upon arrival. 4 Tamales, Bottle of wine, and a card. 12 USD. a night.

Report Check-In

very few people here in early October, weather is still great though. basic but clean bathrooms. $17 a night now at current exchange rates (280 MXN).

Report Check-In

$12 per night. The beach isn't the cleanest, with a couple dead seals and some trash on the beach, but the spots are wide and they had picnic tables at each spot. It's a compound with many permanent residents but everyone was nice and pleasant and the beach camping area was completely empty. Bathrooms were flushing and very clean. Showers were run down but clean.

Report Check-In

We paid $12 a night with no hook-ups very close to the water. We fell asleep to the sound of crashing waves. We practically had the place to ourselves. The hot showers were a bit of a walk; there were cold showers available on the beach. There were no lights in the hot shower facilities - bring a flashlight or shower early. The owners are exceptionally nice. We were there over Christmas and they brought us a bottle of local red wine and some homemade tamales. They treated us like family.

Wide open spaces, right on the beach. Bathrooms with clean toilets, toilet rings and paper! Hot showers at some bathrooms. Sinks for dishes with warm water (thermal?) at some bathrooms. Price was $12usd per night for no hookups. Attached motel is $40 per night. Potable water for sale at RV mini mart next door. In November (weekend after the race) the place was nearly abandoned. Great privacy. This is the renown Punta Banda beach where hot water seeps up through the sand at low tide.
