Lots of spaces to camp at Watson Lake's public quarry. Level, solid ground, quiet, away from road, not particularly beautiful, free.
Access from the Alaska Hwy is at a turnoff just north of this spot. Follow a straight, narrow, bumpy gravel track about 500m south. The terrain then opens up and you can easily turn around.

small road, bit difficult, steep, managable with truck camper, big sandy area, quite, well hidden
Report Check-InYou really need a 4 W drive to manage the steep road. We got down with our 23 ft rv but we didn't stay. Frankly, I was glad "we made it up the hill again.... There were no other vehicles.
Report Check-InGood place for one night! Gravel road down like the other reviews said. Lots of space for larger vehicles as well. Sandy dunes for people to ride their 4 wheelers. Basic and good little spot.
Report Check-InAfter coming down the road the 500 meters to the clearing. We continued to follow the road a bit around to the left and pulled off there to camp. its snowing (about 6” on the ground) and our truck had no problems getting down here.
Great location, very quiet. Just enough insulation from the road noise.
