Near Mision de Satevo | Informal Campsite

Flat area around the church. We asked the police in Batopilas and they told us, Satevo is safe for stay. In Satevo we asked a man for sleeping over night at the church. He told us, we can stay where we want, no problem. The night was very calm, we felt very safe. The mision church is right in the middle of the village. Small dirt road from Batopilas to Satevo, 2WD, but not for big rigs.

As described. Beautiful spot BUT only for small vehicle. Our truck and slide in camper cannot fit under the trees to get in the parking lot. We parked outside the gate on the town side. Peaceful, no one bothered us. Do go have something at this restaurant just to have a look at the shrine inside the place! WOW with a fleet of vehicles owned by the deceased parked there.
We bought showers at Hotel Mary acoss from the church.

Really nice parking of a local restaurant. Directly besides the river. Gated. They lock the gates at night. We had lunch here and asked for permission to park overnight. Parking itself is free. They have restrooms outside. Cars and smaller Truck-Campers will fit in here.
