Description

NOTE Clearance restriction at front gate. Bigrigs must park outside

Beautiful campsite set by the lake. Lovely areas for tents and small campers with electricity and fantastic grill areas. We were too large to get under the entrance gate but parked right outside and used all the facilities. Cost $2,500 per person plus $5,500 a night for the vehicle. Can arrange boat tours from here for the morning and late afternoon, $8,000 per person for a 2 hour trip.
Hot showers only between 6 and 9 pm

Latest Check-Ins

Most spots have a small shelter with a parilla and water tap. Now (October) there are lots of mosquitoes, but really a lot.

Report Check-In

Price is now $2,500 per person and additional $5,500 for motorhomes. Nice place but too expensive, we left.

Report Check-In

2500 per person, plus 1500 for the car, place ia very nice and clean. Even has wifi. Right On the water!

Report Check-In

We spent one night in the parking just outside the camping in front of the hosteria with others 2 motorhome. No problem with that.

Report Check-In

Camping très agréable, en bordure de la lagune. De très beaux couchers de soleil.
Accueil parfait.
Nous y avons passé 2 jours.

Report Check-In

Great comments below from May 2023, I agree with everything. Cost for 2 people, car and tent ARS 4400. Only showers behind reception / small shop have hot water out of season, from around 3.30pm until 6pm (more or less). The camping place is, indeed, lovely but geared up for tourists with tourist prices. Small shop open until 8pm for snacks and cold drinks / beer (off season). Good place for bird, capybara and crocodile watching.

Report Check-In

Since end of April the cost is a whopping 4000 pesos for a car and 1800 pp. Thats just way too much in iur opinion. The location is nice by the lake and you get a well built quincho with tables, bbq and your own water tap. Warm shower only from 3 to 6pm though and the wifi is very bad, as it has no password everybody connects. The camping also has the port for all the boat tours, so expect a lot of non-camping-people walking around.

Report Check-In

Pretty and peaceful campground, although not cheap (7.000 for two people plus a truck camper). The bathrooms are clean although the showers seem to flood the entire bathroom and there is warm water only in the evening. The wifi is very slow unless you’re next to the main building and apparently three is 4G cell service, but it’s weak. From here you can easily book boat tours for the park (just remember to pay the entrance fee and get the pink bracelet at the visitors’ center) and the tours also leave from here.

Report Check-In

great views (and sunsets!) on the lake from the camping. really nice environment and equipment. we were there in the end of the summer and the weather was incredibly hot. also lots of bugs at night so it might be best not to camp to close to the lake. toilets and showers are ok but not do clean.
they also propose to buy boat tour directly from there (5000 ARS pp) but you can very easily find cheaper (we paid 3500 ARS pp).
price update: 1000 ARS pp + 800 ARS for the vehicle.

Report Check-In

Actualizo tarifas, $1000p/p + $800 por auto.
Los paseos en lancha $ 4000 .
Agua caliente solo de 16 a 20 hs.
Limite de altura para entrar, especial cuidado.

I update rates, $1000p/p + $800 per car.
Boat rides $4000.
Hot water only from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Height limit to enter, special care.

Report Check-In

Great campsite. Hot shower and slow wifi. Prices are $1.000 per person and $2.500 for motorhome. Clearence of 3.10 meters at the front gate. You can book boat rides here as well.

Report Check-In

site is nice and OK, but price exploded: 4.500 Pesos for 2 Person 1 campervan per night. bathroom Not cleaned for weeks. If you are in a Dschungel its difficult to Clean Up but this condition ist Not acceptable at this price Level. the Ride from the south on N40 was rough but as IT was dry possible for a normal 2WD Bus. No place to Change Money around so be prepered.

Report Check-In

I can‘t understand the other writings. one pays the "gringo" price just to enter the village where there is nothing. You can't get to the campsite, parking in front of it also costs money. Animals cannot be seen. rip off tourists

Report Check-In

Great well run campsite clean facilities. Slow WiFi. We paid 1200 pesos for our Van and 600 pesos per person.

Report Check-In

We slept outside in a parking. Maximum high is 3,10. Our camper is about this high and because os it, we slept outside before talking with neighbours.

Report Check-In

The boat tour cost now 3000 pesos/pers and you must have paid the entry of park at the gate 3000 pesos/pers. All is free at others portails. We have made Mburucuya, Carambola, San Nicolas, Monte Rey. Galarza was closed. It’s private and not always open. More chance during week-end and holidays. The best for boat trip was Carambola.

Report Check-In

Our truck is to high to enter, so we stayed 2 nights on the muddy parking just outside and paid 1000 pesos per night.
Took a boattrip (2000 pp) and also had to pay entrance of the parque nacional (2500 pp) at the visitorcentre.
We did see more animals walking around the visitorcentre than on the boattrip.
Even some capibara on the campground!
Clean, warm shower and beautiful sunset.
Was it worth the horrible ride from Mercedes and the money? Yes we think it was.

Report Check-In

Super petit camping nous y avons passé 3 jours vraiment tranquille, faire la sortie en bateau pour voir les animaux. Pas de wifi juste le réseau Claro. Il y a des petits restaurants dans le village.

Report Check-In

Comfortable and well
Located camping. Big kiosko just behind your car. Places for tents. Beautiful garden to the lagoon. This is also the main deck from all the boats depart for Touristic services. Bathrooms clean (no paper) and schedulle for warm shower. Place to wash dishes and clothes. Entrance max 3.10m. Nice place. Well management. Recomended.

Report Check-In

Really nice place to stay for a couple of days! Nice sunsets, fascinating animals, best showers.

Report Check-In

We paid 200pp + 100 for the car + 150 for the trailer. Boat trip is now 700pp!! prices seem to be set by the municipality. Nice place

Report Check-In

Agree with all the other positive comments, highly recommend this place.

Note: the swamp tour is nice, obviously they offer different types of boat trips. The one going to the other side of the bridge seems to be more interesting, also make sure that the sun is shining in order to see more animals.

If you do the walks they recommend, make sure you walk the sendero where you pass the wooden boards (you can see them from the road). All the animals of this area can be seen there!!

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite, very popular for Asados to. 200pp camping and no additional charge for motorcycles. They allowed us to park next to the tent, cars park at the parking right next to the camping area. Wood fired hot showers in evening.

RP40 from Mercedes to here was very easy in the dry weather and had been graded. Advise against thus road after lots of rainas the mud is sticky and slippery when wet. A very worthwhile visit.
500pp for a boat trip.

Report Check-In

Now 200 per person + 150 for camper and boat trip is 500 per person. There are apparently howler monkeys in the nearby woods but we walked all round and saw and heard nothing. A large family of capybaras keep the grass short in the camp site, they munch there way round in late afternoon/evening and I could here them munching round our tent at 5am. Height restriction is something over 3m (can't remember the exact height).

Report Check-In

Amazing campground. Now price is 150 ARS pp. They haven't charged me for my motorcycle. Hot showers after 5pm

Report Check-In

as previously posted, very clean and nice.

Report Check-In

Road 40 in from Mercedes and out north were bumpy but fine. It had not rained the last few days. Campsite position lovely on the lake. Cold showers. Cost 120 per person and per camper. Boat 350 per person. Watch out for the mosquitos.

Report Check-In

As described by others, US/European standard. Downside is traffic for the boat trips early morning and late afternoon. Current prices are $120 per person, $70 for the vehicle, $120 for the caravan. Boat trips at 7am, 9am, 15:30pm, 17:30pm, duration 2hrs, cost in shared boat $350 per person, max 9 pax, or $800 (total) for your own boat.

Report Check-In

Clean and beautiful camping place next to the Laguna. Height restrictions because of the entrance gate, but a big truck could pass too. So no problem for anyone I think.
Only one of the restrooms has hot water in the afternoon and evening.
Price was 120 pp + 120 for the car each night. They organize 2h boat trips for 350 pp (worth it!, but maybe cheaper somewhere else) at 7 & 9 a.m and 3 & 5 p.m.

Report Check-In

All the descriptions are still valid including the prices mentioned. Simply beautiful this spot, inviting to stay longer.

Report Check-In

Super! propre, accueillant, beaucoup de place. excellent.

Report Check-In

Nice (municipal) place at the lake, with compartimented sites. Hot water by wood-fire, only late afternoons. Electricity, running potable water at sites, most with a shelter with tables and benches. And a BBQ, of course. Better than that: BBQs with chimneys.

Tons of 'traffic' by tourists arriving and leaving for the boattrips in afternoons and mornings. The groundskeeper pitched the boatrides repeatedly, until I showed him that I was out of cash.

Price was 120 per person and 120 ARS for the Land Cruiser with roof tent.

Report Check-In

we had a wonderful stay there. the camp site is at an excellent location and you can directly book boat trips there (350peso pp).we paid 310 Peso for 2 people and a vehicle. warm water is only available in the afternoon. Great place!

Beautiful camping with places for tent/car and a covered cooking/bbq/eating area for each space. Gorgeous view of the lake. Clean bathrooms with hot water, doors don't lock though. We paid 300 per night (80 pp, 20 pp "park fee", 120 for our Landrover with rooftop tent which was considered a motorhome which it is not, smaller car would cost 50).

Report Check-In

No Clearence for 3.30 high, we parked outside, 80 Peso pro Person per Night. Campside is verry clean.

Road from Mercedes could be very difficult if raining. Ask first at Mercedes visitor center road conditions.
We didn't pay for our 8 y old daughter because we took the boat tour with the camping.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite by Lago Ibera. Sheltered seating / cooking areas for each site with power and water (also drinkable). 2 shower / toilet blocks with a small kiosk that sells beers - very welcome in the heat! Can book tours directly with the guys there. Paid 150 pesos pp for the boat tour. Paid 280 pesos for 2ppl plus car for 2 nights

Report Check-In

This is by far and away the best run municipal campground we have been to in Argentina. The toilets and showers are a little old now but they are kept clean and tidy. It is a great location by the lake and each site be it for tents or campers has its own thatched shelter with concrete and tiled bbq beneath. We stayed for three nights and would have stayed longer. It is peak season but still in comparison at AP400 for three nights with these facilities is a bargain. It took us three hours to drive the 120 kms into Ibera Camp from Mercedes, the road is rough but just take your time.

Report Check-In

Very nice place, nice lake. Not to many sites and sites are well kept with power, rain shelter, grill. Worth the dirt road drive. Make sure you are fueled.

Report Check-In

We really like to camp there but the entrance clearance is by 3.10 m.

Report Check-In

This is a fantastic campsite with a stunning location right on the lake. We paid 65peso per person. As mentioned you can take a boat ride for 2 hours around the lake for 120 peso pp. good, clean toilet and showers. Lovely picnic undercover areas.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite set by the lake. Lovely areas for tents and small campers with electricity and fantastic grill areas. We were too large to get under the entrance gate but parked right outside and used all the facilities. Cost 55 pesos per person for the first night, 40 pesos per person for any subsequent nights plus 40 pesos a night for the vehicle. We paid 220 pesos in total for 2 nights. Can arrange boat tours from here for the morning and late afternoon. 120 pesos per person for a 2 hour trip.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campground at the lakeside. Fully recomanded! The road from Mercedes is a dirt road who can be muddy when wet. We hardly could make it up here with our VW T4 (2x4 without high clearance). We get out direction Posadas; this is also a dirt road but not muddy.
