I don't think I'd call this abandoned as the pit toilets are well kept and there are some sites that aren't overgrown. In any case, do NOT miss this site. Beautiful views, lots of coyote and owl calls all night, nobody around at all. Super clean toilets. If we didn't have somewhere to be we'd stay for a few days! Because it doesn't seem frequently kept up, do a trash walk while you're here to help keep it clean for everyone else. Also, don't drive here in a massive rig when it's raining, the roads are starting to get rutted out.

Took about 6 miles of dirt road to get to the place and with the snow it was not too hard to get to. Very secluded would 100% recommend.

Report Check-In

Great secluded spot, dark and quiet with pit toilets.

Abandoned campground still available, all descriptions are accurate

Report Check-In

Abandoned campground with a few tended sites. The tables are in great condition, the toilets are still in order. Great for tent camping. My Yaris barely made it in due to some pretty severe ruts, but otherwise i cannot recommend it enough!

Report Check-In

Decent spot tucked way back into the prairies off the main road. Absolutely no noise besides the wind. The 10miles of dirt road, from 36, you take to get here is currently in fantastic condition, no ruts or potholes anywhere. Pit toilets are clean and stocked with TP. Plenty of room for multiple rigs. 3-4bars Verizon 4GLTE, fast enough to stream.

Very secluded. Beautiful abandoned campground. Great place to spend a night under the stars.

Report Check-In

Great site. No signs or anything prohibiting staying in this area. Campsite has a bunch of great sites to pull into and the pit toilet was quite clean for being so remote! None of the spigots work but the scenery is beautiful and very quiet.

roads a little worse for wear but worth it. multiple picnic tables with awnings and mostly level ground

Report Check-In

Found the spot just before the sun went down. I accessed this part from the west, off 385 and roads after the first small campground were pretty rough on my non 4x4 van. Didn't NEED better system, but doing that in the dark would have meant 3mph the whole time. Probably not fun in the rain, either.

Really secluded. Will be back. Out in the middle of nowhere, except lots and lots of cows nearby. Far enough away you don't smell them, but close enough to hear them.
