Description

The bank in town to withdraw money. We withdrew money at the HSBC ATM in Perito Morino, 360km north, coming from Chili at the border Chile Chico, because we have mastercard/maestro.

From previous post I forgot to say that I used the machine on the left, the middle one (there’s 3) didn’t work for me

I was able to do multiple withdrawals of 4000 ARS (373,50 fees) with a US Visa card from Charles Schwab

We got 4000 with 3xx fees with an German DKB card - better than nothing :-)

WARN: if you decide to do a WU transfer the maximum amount is 15 000 pesos argentinos !

I can confirm the ATMs don't work with German DKB Visa Cards or Sparkasse MasterCard. Girocards didn't work either. So if you have these kind of cards spare yourself the time it won't work. This is very annoying as this seems to be the only ATM in a 500 km range.

Current withdrawal limit is only $500 with a $228 transaction charge.

ATM does not work for US cards either, as expected as it does not have any of the international symbols, eg Plus, Star, etc.

Was not able to get cash with Revolut (either VISA or MasterCard). Fortunately was able to pay by card in la anonima supermarket (they do not process cash advances for other cards than theirs) and at the gas station.

We also tried to withdraw money with our American cards. No luck. Gas station took our Credit card so we will try at other places in the south.

1000 paso limit but we were able to do a western union money transfer and pick up the cash immediately from the correo (post office) in town. Fees were very low and we could transfer up to 5000 aud. I
would definitely recommend doing this in Argentina to avoid the crazy bank fees!

Tried three different Australian cards and no luck. NAB, ING and Bank of Melbourne. Have never had luck with redlink ATMs and these cards

From Germany. Also couldn’t get cash here. The next gas station in the south is in tres lagos about 2hrs and only takes cash. Fill a your tank and an EXTRA BOTTLE with gas here!!

European Credit Cards don't work. The tourist info in the middle of the street confirmed that many tourists have this problem.
There is no way of getting cash via Credit Cards in this town.
But you can pay in the supermarket and the gas station with cards.

ATTENTION Europeans, apparently the ATMs of this Bank do not accept European Credit or Debit cards. We tried Visa, MasterCard and Maestro and the Bank attendant said it wouldnt work because of our chips.

The exchange rate of the gas station is terrible for Chilean Pesos as well. So try to come here with Arg Pesos or USD.
