- extremely windy, we had to hide behind a ruin of a house, but it did not help much.
- we were here on friday night and a group of locals camped nearby
March 2020: camping not allowed.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The laguna is nice for a little lunch stop. A sign at the entrance is indicating that camping is not allowed. If you don‘t need a break from driving it‘s not worth the detour.
Report Check-InI just had a quick detour on the way past so didn't stay, but it is a nice place. No real shade, but there are the 2 abandoned/incomplete buildings I guess. Nice for a stop off to see some birds and herds of llama in the Marsh area behind. I think would be nice for a free camp if you're self sufficient.
Report Check-InWe stopped here to have lunch on a sunny Sunday, it was a very very nice place, beautiful Laguna, some small trails around and nice views. It was busy with families, and it seemed us relatively clean (we didn’t check inside the buildings). It was very windy
Report Check-InParked near the ruin as wind shelter. The wind died at night but was strong in the morning. Beautiful sunrise view. Some people went partying during the night but it didn't last long.
Report Check-InNice oasi in the desert with some building for wind protection.
Unfortunately silly people leave rubbish here and the ground is full of broken glass.
South of the lake is at the top of a hill a watch out building. Open on 2 sides, so it gave us a good protection against the hard wind. You can park your car in the front. There are peace glass of the ground. The view is wonderful. The lake is a bit cold but good for a swim.
Report Check-Inbeautiful lagoon, clear blue water (a bit salty ;-), birds, quiet nature all around. Wind in the afternoon died down at night. we loved it here. way to here is all paved just 1km is easy gravel.
Report Check-InWe arrived with our motorhome early in the afternoon and parked close to the laguna. In the green valley behind, lamas and sheep were grazing. We were all alone and had a quite night. No wind.
Report Check-InBeautiful Laguna with view towards the mountains.
The wind died at night.
I pitched my tent in the circular building on top of the hill, for wind shelter.
Perfect with the sunrise view.
As always though, watch out for the broken glass everywhere.
