It is what it is. This is a huge flat parking lot with marked off spaces in the middle of the desert. Convenient location near visitor center and great base camp to see the popular areas in Death Valley. We were here during President’s Day weekend and it was packed. It had a great vibe though, kind of like tailgating at a game or concert. Even with the crowd there were still plenty of spaces available since this place is very large and also has overflow lots. It was super quiet at night and really nice that generators have specific hours from 7am-9pm and a camp host. Free dump station, water fill up, bathrooms and outdoor sinks. $14 fee is paid at self-pay machine inside campground.

Large gravel parking lot with marked off spaces. All dry camping. No tables or fire pits. Some restroom facilities with water available at restroom.

Price is still $14 per night. You pay with debit card or credit card at the pay stations spread throughout the campsite where you will get a receipt that you then fill out with the site number you've parked at and when you will check out.

The big gravel lot allows generator use from 7 AM to 9 PM - but on the way in you'll pass a smaller lot on your right hand where generator use isn't allowed.

Dump station and potable water at the northern end of the big gravel lot. Free to use - just like the one on the main road across the visitor center.

Massive gravel lot, perfect location right next to the village. Pay at machines, $14 per night. Clean restrooms. Wasn’t busy! Over 200 spaces.

Report Check-In

Large gravel lot. Cellular service ok for voice, but no good for data (Verizon). Nice restrooms.

There is 2 campgrounds in this Park: Sunset 14$ and Texas spring 16$. We were at Texas uppercut loop for RV where it looks more like a campground with picnic table and fire pit. No generator allowed. The view is also very nice.. Sunset looks more like RV Park and Generator allowed..

Amazing place, no generator after 9PM, dumping station and a lot of space. We slept at the Sunset 14$ per night

$14 / night or $7 if you have the America pass. It is a gravel parking lot. Ok if you are spending some time in Death Valley. No shade. No cell. Starlink works well.

We are in spot C23 and love that it is an end spot up next to the palm trees. Little to no internet. You can across the street and pay to use wifi if you need access. The place is basically a gravel parking lot. There are flush toilet bathrooms throughout and drinking water just outside at each bathroom. It’s a wash station too. No wood fire pits were aloud. It’s a dry camping area. You can use a generator between 7am-9pm. Let’s are allowed. The cost was $14.00 per night. The NP visitors center is within walking distance. We would stay here a again. We stay 4 nights.

Works fine as a base camp for death Valley. It is a parking lot with lines designating the slost. Be aware that Verizon service has no data available.

Good location to set up a basecamp as you explore Death Valley. $14 for a no frills camping experience. No picnic tables or fire rings. But they do have plenty of bathrooms, wash sinks, dumpsters, and a dump station. It's never full, and all sites are first come first serve so you're always guaranteed a spot. We usually disperse camp, but we wanted a centralized location that was easy to access, and this campground worked well for that. Texas Spring CG up the hill seemed nicer, and they allowed campfires. $16 per night up there, but they tend to fill up. No generators up there.

Nice campground. Easy to check in and find a spot, very clean bathrooms and a nice big sink with high pressured water to clean dishes. Felt safe and enjoyed our stay.
