Description

Drove quite a ways down the access road and found a nice quiet/flat spot. There was already a fire ring there which leads me to believe we were no the first ones to have stayed. Overall it was wonderful for just the night.

Place is great. Couple other campers stayed here. Great views. Quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Report Check-In

As everyone else has said this is an awesome, quiet spot with incredible views. Down a gravel road and there appear to be a ton of spots dispersed through the road. Starlink service was great with no high trees around it was totally uninterrupted. Two bars of T-Mobile but not sure of the speed.

There is just one word “wow”. Spectacular view to the mountains and glaciers. Gravel road access, it’s a road to an antenna tower. There was a 28 foot trailer and pickup parked in, I drove in with medium size suv and 16 ft trailer. Multiple turn arounds and multiple camping spots even big enough for big rigs.

Report Check-In

Multiple level spots with fire rings in the area, which has been used as a quarry. Some are in a pit, protected from the wind, like the one we used at 61.84531° N, 147.35122° W. There's a creek (called Trail Creek) nearby for water. Highway audible, but little traffic at night. Faint AT&T signal. Note the altitude: cold at night.

Awesome spot(s)! There are many more camping spots besides the one listed here. This whole road and the many spur roads are dotted with disbursed camping options. Almost no traffic during the weekdays I was here. Probably pretty busy on weekends. It's a popular spot for ATV riding. The lakes nearby appear to be decent fishing.

Nice spot in a huge valley. Wonderful views, sweet lake and also accessible in winter time.
