Very basic campsite on the top of a hill with a stunning 360-degree view. There are toilets but no running water. There are two bandas for shelter/cooking as well as two fireplaces. Your ranger can organize water as well as firewood for the campfire.
I can recommend Daniel (+256 788 796 808) - he can stay with you as well as guide you around the park.

We stayed for 1 night at the campsite. Did not used the amenities as they are really basic. You need a ranger which can also provide a jerrycan with water for washing and the dishes. Really recommend Silvano which also took us bush camping which was an awesome experience. Ranger who is very friendly and with lots of knowledge of the park and country. WA/Tel: +256 784 777335

Loved our stay at this campsite. Plenty of Buffalo around. No predators. Peaceful. Well worth the potholes getting here. 4/5

Ok campsite with huts that you can pitch your tent in. Especially when it’s extremely windy. UWA really try to keep the ablutions clean and water tank full. Prices as per their website. You can pay for a ranger at the visitors center. He’ll be dropped by their vehicle w

For us this was a magical place. A beautiful, truly African NP, amazing birds and wildlife and this campsite is fab. Basic western toilet and cold water shower but it was hot, hot so that was refreshing and there was plenty of water. We were alone (apart from a ranger (mandatory no fee) who arrived at 20.30 and left at 6.30 and was friendly but unobtrusive) Beautiful 360° views and you can watch herds of Buffalo, elephants, hartebeest, warthog etc wandering around. Unlike previous campers we didn't have lion in the camp but you absolutely could!! 20000 ush pppn.

Wow! Beautiful views as said before. A herd of 60 elephants crossed the camp nearby and many other individuals actually crossed the campsite 10 m away. Really rundown and quite dirty ablutions but it's an amazing experience. Ranger compulsory as mentioned. Cost still 20k ush pp. Two good shelters.

Awesome 360-degree views to the park around you with lots of buffaloes, elephants, etc. Cold shower in a rundown ablution. But you come here for the view and experience. Two bandas. The ranger came late (we didn’t mind at all) and left early, it’s mandatory to have one. He’s dropped off and picked up by UWA vehicle. This campsite had so much better views than the Nakosopire. 20 000 UGX/pppn. Payable in Apoka by card.

We stayed here one night. Before we settled we checked both public campsites. Both had no water. Both had very dirty ablutions. We complained about it. At 7 they arrived and cleaned the ablation. Hopefully they will do it regularly from now. The itself is very nice on a hilltop.

Quiet night. Obligatory guard camped with us. Wood provided for camp fire. No water for showers.

An absolutely beautiful spot. In the wild, normal totally alone, animals around, even they are far, a stunning view around. We enjoyed it!

Beautiful campsite with many animals around the campsite. We stayed 5 nights and we didn’t have a ranger.
By the payment of the campsite in Apoka we mentioned that we don’t need a ranger, we signed for it and all done.
The water tank was full so a cold shower is possible , the toilet ceiling was full of bats.

No one told us to have a ranger with us (as mentioned in some comments below) but when we got to our Campsite there was a lion right inside the rain shelter (i put a picture so you'll believe me! lol). So we left to the other campsite and slept here the next day. We didn't have rangers but we've been living in Africa for 5 years so do as you wish but keep in mind that you are in the middle of a Park with real wild dangerous animals. This camping has really beautiful views, one rain shelter (the other burned down) toilets and showers that I haven't been to. Internet with MTN works much better here than at the other campsite.

Camping fee increased to 20000Ush pppn. The site does now have proper toilets and showers (cold), but not well maintained (one toilet not properly attached to floor and showers with lots of rodent feces. Beautiful views, firewood provided.
We were asked if we wanted a ranger to stay in the camp with us, of which we asked why we would need one. We were told so that we would would have someone to build a fire for us. I said we are perfectly capable of building our own fire. Then she said for safety, of which I asked if it was protection from people (there are many places in the park you are not allowed to go without an armed guard because it is so close to South Sudan) or from animals. She replied animals. We declined. Another group that arrived after us were told they had to have a ranger, by the same person.
