We got the knock last night about 11:30. The police were very nice about it, but told us that we were not allowed to stay overnight in city parks. We’ve been here a few times in the last three years, so it’s sad that it’s no longer an option. We didn’t see any signs that restrict parking but we didn’t see anyone else here, so we knew it was a possibility. The police ran my husband’s license while making polite conversation, but they didn’t mention that there had been any illegal activities that caused the city to close the park to overnight parking.

We stayed here one night in our 40 ft bus no problem, lights were out and an officer drove right past us in the parking lot, didn’t care. It’s a huge lot lots of space to hide away for the night.

As described large sports complex, to West of 4 way intersection drive along baseball field and make right just by the outfield are parking spaces and picnic tables, toilets at baseball field. Very peaceful all night, neighbors walking dog in morning very friendly and happy to have people stay.

Quiet and miles of trails within the park. Looked at a map and it is BLM property near the fields. Stayed for a couple nights with no problems. Please be mindful to locals and leave no trace!

Large sports complex. Ball fields, pickle ball courts, playground, roller hockey rink. Huge lite parking lot. Head down to the entrance of the fields to find a dirt lot on your right.

Many options. Stayed here a couple nights while waiting on friends to arrive. The "fire lane" road is good if you follow it to the end. That space borders Embry Riddle property and is peaceful. I also liked west of the 4 way stop. Go to the end and turn right at the "parking" sign. There are a couple of spaces with picnic tables.

UPDATE: ended up staying night. Guess ‘no camping ‘ sign was for field and not parking lot?
Maintenance truck with city decal looped round my obvious van camper around 1030 when rest of parking lot was empty after the sports field closed at 10pm and then toured rest of parking lot, then turned off parking lot lights for night. No knocks on door during night, nothn’.

Report Check-In

There is a sign posted at entrance to sports fields and at edge of parking lot “no overnight camping”. Dont know if this is in reference to sports fields (are people that dumb?) or to parking lot. Fields close at 10pm, settled, debating whether I’ll just stay and risk it, freaking tired and dont see any other signs

The park has had some major improvements, and is very nice, with nearby hiking trails. I stayed two nights in the upper, older looking parking area with no issues. Sheriff is next to the park, and drove by often, the lot is well lit, the restrooms are not far, and it’s flat and pretty level. A nice spot to rest your bones.

Report Check-In

Huge parking lot for soccer/hockey/roller skate fields. There are picknick tables and barbecues. Well lit. We were the only ones camping but I don't think it's a problem. Toilets are next to the roller skate lot.

seems to be wide open option for overnight or longer stays. parking lot or a couple spots in the bushes with that away from it all feel. No signage indicating camping is prohibited....
