Description

A total surf hotel that has tent camping on site and rig camping in the parking lot, 50 Pesos per person per night [previous entry] 100 mxn pppn for tent and 450 cheapest room with fan and own bathroom. Located in front of a famous huge wave, Pascuales and other waves nearby. People from all over world are here to surf. Great experience for surfers. There are other restaurants nearby that are good. The restaurant at this hotel is limited menu and OK. If you want to cook, bring food from elsewhere because there is a small and expensive shop here.

Decided to get a room for 7 nights for 300 pesos a night - included free wifi, private bathroom, a fan and secure parking. It was 600 pesos a night if we wanted AC.

There was the option to stay in the van for 200 pesos (100 p/person) a night, however, there was little privacy as you park in the main parking lot.

Laundry service is available for a standard charge of 200 pesos.

A Restaurant is onsite but the owner was happy for us to use our cooker and cook out of the van.

Hotel right on the beach, we asked about camping and it was 100mxn pppn under a big bit of shade. The toilets were so bad that we decided to stay in a room for 450 instead with own shower and toilet, a double bed and fan. If you want to cook, bring food from elsewhere because there is one limited and very expensive shop. There's a car park within the hotel area and a guy sitting out there all day. Some sketchy people around but we're here to surf so not staying out late.

The wave is incredible, the vibe of Pascuales a bit weird. People tend to like alcohol and probably other stuff. Anyway, the place charges 650 for a room with AC, 450 without AC. 50 pesos/pers for camping on the beach and additional 50 pesos for wifi which work only if you're next to the office. We got robbed wfor a laundry service at 300 pesos. The staff is friendly but again, the vibe is not the best. If you want to learn and try big wave surfing this is the place though. Rental for a surfboard that suits big waves was 400 a day, "negociated" at 350 (there is only 2h window for surfing between 10 and 12am, the spot is very sensitive).

we had a group of 4 vans and turned up dusk, staff where friendly and we parked around some shelters in the parking lot as it was raining ALOT ! we all paid 50 pp then 100 between all of us to plug the vans in and get the wifi (good speed but downloading blocked).

We stopped for 2 nights and although we felt (safe) we didnt like the constant flow of drunk and high (on crack) people around.
after giving one guy a few beers (he helped himself) he stayed at our campsite all night clearly high as a kite then after we gave him some dinner and told him he should go as we where going to bed, he then dumped the food on the ground and told us he will "cut off our heads" . The next day when he was painting the hotel he didnt seem to recall anything so probably was harmless ;). Another guy was trying to damage our property in front of us then got very agressive when told to stop it.

It was cheap and worked well for us this time, however after our experience and the stories we where told by others in town about things going missing, I think we will pick an other option when we pass back through.

Great spot to stay for a few days. With a pool. The restaurant seems to be closed. Room is okay, 350 peso for the cheapest. 3 persons fit in their, with a van. Small shops near by, beer is cheap.

Good Wifi, good Restaurants nearby. Rather narrow, not for big rigs.

Report Check-In

Surf is big and very powerful here. Cheap hotels and camping.

I arrived today and it was very quiet but for the consruction to build more rentals units. I was told high season is Sept., Oct. An O K place with a store next door for supplies. Not fit for anything bigger than a truck camper or you will be parking on the street. $150.00 Mx for my 18 Ft Chinook, Electric and wifi w/ a pool. Discount for extended stays. Everything in the other posts are 100% accurate.

This is a decent spot right on the beach. They have hotel rooms and beach camping. we decided to grab a room with a/c and a shower for $450. The power went out for 2 hours in the middle of the night, but aside from that, everything was pretty good. Friendly and helpful staff, good food and smoothies at the attached restaurant, and great waves out back.

We stayed for one week. 50MP/pp, if you want electricity it's 100MP extra. The only plugs they have that work are in the palapa at the entrance and the toliets, they "don't want to give you the commodity of having plugs around and not pay for electricity", so if you want to charge your phone or computer, you have to be at the palapa next to the street or standing next to the toilets. Toilets were very basic and not so clean, bucket flush, no seat, no locks, bring your TP, running water usually just in the mornings. No sink to do the dishes. Amazing waves just in front of the hotel. Nice small swimming pool to chill after a hot mexican day. Very decent wifi. It gets kind of crowded during the weekends with people from Tecomán and surroundings, so expect more noise and activity until late. Not a very special place unless yo are here for the waves. The wildcamping down the beach is way nicer.

50 pesos for one man, one tent and one moto. Edgar is a nice guy and speaks good English. Pitched tent under palapa for shade. Toilets were pretty bad and no running water, just a huge barrel of it. I didn't care for 50 pesos. Can be a bit noisy with restaurant one side and swimming pool the other

Cool spot. 100 pesos to park your truckcamper and two people. Wifi, shower, and crazy waves.

Great place, friendly staff, surf shop at the hotel with rental, second hand sales and lessons. We parked our camper in the parking lot for 50 pesos pp including kids 5 and up. Lots of surfesr hitting that big wave right in front, fun just watching.

At 100 pesos for 2 people for a tent site, it's OK for the night. We have a rooftop tent and could only stay in the parking lot (same for a small RV). Noisy practically all night and morning, cold showers and running water between 8:30 and 18:00 only, bucket shower otherwise, not so clean bathrooms, no TP, no kitchen but you can use a propane stove for basic cooking and coffee...I'd rather camp in the bush but we had no other choice as the numerous other boondocking sites along the whole beach were totally trashy (recent hurricane?).But if you're a surfer or beach goer, it's the perfect place to set your tent up for a while, or rent a room for 350 pesos.

as everyone said, and bucket showers after 6pm...they turn the water off. There are proper showers during the day.
We paid 100 pesos for two people and 50 pesos for electricity. He wanted to charge 50 more, but we only needed to power a fridge. Waves are massive. if that's your thing you will love it. Many travelers came, but most did not paddle out. Matt went surfing and I walked the beach retrieving washed up boards and letting their owners know they existed.
Kitchen was nasty, and the two burner barely had a flame. Food left out, and tortilla burnt to stove.
3 night spent here, no TP entire time, no toilet seats. Everyone is very nice!

50 Pesos per person, surfer hostel, pool, wifi, cold showers. Parking lot. Nice atmosphere and manager.

Report Check-In

yes this is a surfer spot..there are rooms ....not really set up for rv's...but Edgar got us a spot for our truck/pop-up camper with an electrical hookup from an outlying room...$100 pesos for our stay but the restaurant bill was quite high for what we ordered...beach had dark sand .we are not surfers..and the beach was jst okay..

Report Check-In

Surfer hostel 100%!! Room with fan $350, AC $450. Dog friendly. Mediocre restaurant.
