Something not right?

Description

A surprisingly nice campground, definitely more than I was expecting! Big sites, well spaced among the pines, and some hiking trails right from the campground. There's water, picnic tables, garbage service, bathrooms. And there's also a visitor center, with info and photos on the history of the place (lots of cattle drives through here), and they had wifi available at the visitor center too. I had no TMobile cell service here. Hosts were super friendly. $5.

Lovely campsite! Super clean and well maintained. Room for rigs of all sizes. Water faucets at toilets (pit) as well as garbage cans. We will be back! Would have stayed longer than one night, but we were out of cash.
There are 2-3 sites at the end of the loop with electrical hookups. Not sure if they are FCFS or reservable. And whether they are more than the $5 fee. Really nice handicap site that is reservable.

Very clean, quiet campground. One of the nicest BLM sites I've stayed at. Don't miss the lovely nature trail that starts from here, too.

Note they turn off the water in the winter. The sign said they shut it off on 12/1/24 and still no water right now.

A beautiful find just west of the Very Large Array (~15 miles). Host in attendance. Water readily available. Multiple clean pit toilets. A pleasant ~2+ mile trail hike from the campground. 22 sites including an Accessible in site. Couldn’t ask for more for $5

As noted a real gem of a campground just outside the town of Datil. Interesting historical site. Fairly empty this Wednesday evening but I doubt it’s completely full at any time given it’s location. Well worth spending the night.
Note: the sign to the campground is just past the road if you’re heading east

Very nice campground. Got a site with 30 amp power for $2.50 per night!!

This is a really nice place. Sites separated by piñon/juniper trees, clean pit toilets (with hand san), trash receptacles, metal fire rings, covered picnic tables. Water is turned off. No camp host or ranger at the office but please pay to keep this gem open and the rangers do drive through. Short 3 mile nature trail adjacent to cg. Brush up on your cattle drive history here. This might turn up in Jeopardy one day.

20 nice sites with picnic tables. Water available and 3 sites have electric. Very clean toilets. Excellent, well marked hiking trail at the campground. $5 a night.

5$ per night! big slots with tables and fire places. Very clean toilets. Drinking water available and wifi at the information shed.
There are some small hiking trails, too.
Perfect place to visit the Very Large Array!

This is not the RV park, which is south east near the petrol station!

Tents to bus sized rigs. $5.00 per night. $2.50 with National Park Senior Pass.
