Mexico
We went first to "parador turistico", it was amazing place! We met another campervan there. But... police came twice to tell us it's "really not safe" and they escort both of us to these place. It's a quiet soccer field in the middle of the town. Fell free to park here for the night... it's not as nice as the desert campspot but it's perfect for one night. Free but no amenities.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
huge, clean area, a lot of cars around, we do not feel very good, so we went to palador
Report Check-InI came to this spot, but couldn’t find it. I think the entrance gates were closed (covid). I asked police for help and they drove me up to the Parador saying it’s safer. It’s always fun and interesting when my situation is the opposite of everyone else on ioverlander. Haha. Jaja.
Happy travels all.
Buen viaje!
stayed here after recommendation of police to move into town where they regularly patrol.
pro: level, free, patrolled by police
con: less beautiful and more noisy than the parador turistica spot.
soccer field, flat and quiet at night
on the other side of the street, the mega park, great and big to walk, small lakes with ducks good place to go with kids
