Description

Jan 2024: Lots of confusion with this listing.

There are two campsites in town, this pin is for Camping Cohuin-co, which is on the north side of the river and has hot showers available.

The comments are a mixture of reviews for cohuin-co and the other campsite on the south side of the river, which has fewer facilities (bathroom only). Please only leave reviews for cohuin-co from now on, thanks.

No mascotas.
$2,000 para pescar.

We have a camper van and the road in is full of potholes in gravel for 1 km. The sites are not flat either. Lovely place, but the bathrooms were filthy. In the morning, all toilets (2 men and 2 women) were clogged with 💩 and no water was in any tanks. The showers are only hot in the evening when the lady is here to put wood on the stove. Internet coverage is really spotty. I would check out the campground next door next time (Los Fogones). Looks better…you have to drive through this one to get to the other one across the river though.

Decent spot for cyclists. 5000pp in Jan 2024. Only one shower for women and two for men - not much for quite a big site. Also no rubbish collection. We would have preferred to wild camp but didn’t see any good spots nearby. Very quiet at night though, even on a Friday.

Report Check-In

3000 pp. No one else here. Cozy. Dogs allowed

Report Check-In

Nice little campground just over halfway between Bariloche and El Bolson. Pitched the the tent along the river (Rio Villegas)
Picknick tables and hot shower

Report Check-In

Un lugar hermoso como es fuera de temporada no hay gente. 1200p por persona

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Lugar bonito e tranquilo. Área de churrasco e banho gelado.

Beautiful and quiet. BBQ area. Cold shower available.

Report Check-In

Seguro.

This place is in wrong location - it is located at -41.57558, -71.50269

Report Check-In

$500pp per night without shower, nice green garden.
We left for the campsite on the other side of the river (no name camping, it's just a mapuche family that rents its garden but has hot showers!!) for $600pp.

Report Check-In

400 ARS pp. Small and very basic camping. There is a toilet and that's it, so we refreshed ourselves in the river, which was perfect after a cycling day. Picnic tables. We were the only ones in the campsite, and it's high season !

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot with hot showers. 250 pp to stay the night.

Report Check-In

There are two campgrounds mixed in one spot and reviews. The location here is not of Cohuin-co (that is on the other side of the river) but of a tiny, basically no facilities place. Do not come here!
It’s a rip off. We had to go to the village so we headed to this location. There was nobody there but camping is signed and there are some benched with tables in the back. There’s a house with a barking dog inside and 4 neighborhood dogs arrived as well. So we decided to start cooking (3 cyclists) while waiting. The owner woman arrived around 9.30pm and charged us 250pp, didn’t want to discuss the discount at all. For nothing literally, as we later discovered the toilet is broken. She was also very surprised we’ve got our dogs with us as no dogs are allowed apparently (which was only to laugh at with all the neighborhood dogs running around and herself having a dog in the house). Save yourself the disappointment and choose the other campground.

Not sure if we are in the wrong place or if the comments are wrong. We are at the exact coordinates and there indeed is a small camping at the river. There however are no showers/bathrooms, only a small wooden hut with a toilet. Small grassy area at the river, just big enough for our 4x4 with rooftop tent to fit through. We were the only visitors and paid 200 per person. Feels remote and local.

Report Check-In

Very nice little camping, with good showers and a terrace where you can enjoy a pint of a well deserved cerveza artesanal after a day of cycling. We paid 225 pesos p.p. Food of the day available for 280. Would recommend this place. Dorm room available for 550 including breakfast. Recommended!!

Report Check-In

Very nice little camping with hot shower and electricity. Discount for cyclists 225pp. The owners are lovely and offer a very good rafting experience for 1200pp that I strongly recommend (lunch included).

Report Check-In

Highly recommended. Brand new facilities and lovely grassy area surrounded by trees. very quiet at night and you just hear the little river. the friendly owner made us feel welcome. Cyclists get 10% discount. we paid 225pp. They make some tasty craft beer. It is suitable for campers, RVs and Motorhomes without any problem (talked to the owner, they acquired more land).

Report Check-In

Updated price for cyclists: 225 pesos per person (it was on their official price list, so I'm guessing that it will stay like this for the upcoming high season); 250p for non-cyclists

This is a really nice grassy spot with lots of trees, beautifully located next to a christal clear river incl. bbq places. We were here off-season, bathrooms were super clean and no time limit on the hot showers :)
They also have dorm rooms (550pesos pp) with optional breakfast.
Definitely recommended, as it is also half way between Bariloche and El Bolsón and a nice place to rest your legs :)

Report Check-In

Perfect spot for tenting.
we arrived by bicycle and had no problems getting a spot for the night.
They offer meals and drinks (Pepsi and assortment of beers) right on site or you can venture into the village for meals and provisions.
toilet and showers - showers are timed but we missed out and there was no hot water.
River is lovely and perfect to cool off after a day of bicycling.
Recommended but take your shower right at 7.30 to avoid disappointment

The price this season $160 AR pp

Good stop for the night
Bathrooms a bit uncomfortable and dirty

Report Check-In

Beautiful, quiet camp spot as described. 150pp with two motorbikes. 1 toilet with running water, sink with running water and tap outside with potable water. No shower (working) at the time we visited. Several shops within walking distance that are open all day, every day and between them you can get bread, eggs, milk, pasta, sauces, alcohol, cigarettes, cheese etc. Friendly people. There is also a friendly sheep and a local dog or two...keep food stashed away!

Report Check-In

Very nice place at the river. Recently constructed toilets and showers. Helpful owner made breakfast (120) and dinner (200). 100 pp for a cyclist with a tent is by far the best value I have found in Patagonia.

Report Check-In

Very nice camping.
Discount for cyclist at 100 pp
They now have hot shower!
Friendly owner, perfect!

Report Check-In

Lovely small camping at the end of some houses, next to Rio Villegas. We are here alone in high season but not in the weekend. Perfect for a resting day us lonely cyclists, campers wont fit, you can park your car in front of the house though. We paid 100 ppp. Only toilet, clean in river. 2 little shops and places for huevos del campos.
