Description

Nice campground (10$ senior annual pass) with dump outside the campground with drinking water.

At the big parking lot for boats are toilets, laundry (1$) and showers (1,50) you can use when not staying on the campground. Fuel not diesel. Showers and Laundromat may be closed until the Lake Level comes back up.

Campground is open, but the Showers and Laundromat are locked up, most likely until the lake level comes back up.

Very nice campground. Two of the 52 sites are available without reservation - both available when we arrived early afternoon; both occupied by early evening.

The "resort" - restaurant, store, etc. - is closed or open restricted hours. Everything pretty quiet.

NPR at 88.9.

It’s $20/night unless you have a SENIOR access pass (then it’s $10). The regular annual pass does not give you the discount :/

You have to reserve online at recreation.gov, but there’s good T-mobile service here. Nearly all the sites were open. There’s 2 first come first served campsites that can be paid in cash. Nice day use area though! Covered picnic tables and grills and a bathroom with running water.

I did not stay here, instead I went to 8 mile road.

Awesome campground! Lots of spaces, only a few campers, and running water. Desert fox come around. Only 1 of 3 camp area are open. The other area looks like they haven’t been used in a while. Hike toward the lake is worth the view. 4 bars on T-Mobile. $10/day and fast internet? Might do a longer stay next time. Just need a shower. Shower and laundromat are still closed. Water level in the lake is much lower than the boat ramp so it’s going to be a while until business get back to normal. On the other hand, the boat ramp is giant! If you got an electric scooter, you can pretend you’re snowboarding down this ramp. It’s a nice bunny slope :)

Lots of campsites surrounded by hills and trails. Lake is over a few ridges. Picnic tables/grills and amenities to the side, though showers closed due to covid. 2 bathrooms and many trash dumpsters.

I like this campground. It had lots of sites when other campgrounds at Lake Mead were full. Appealing trails right behind my site.
