Description

The owner, Bo Angersbach, invited us to stay on his car park for free while we spent a week in Asuncion for medical appointments. He also asked us to put this into iOverlander. Motor homes from all around the world are welcome to stay here. The parking lot is across from the hotel and big enough for all kinds of rigs. Bo and his team will help you to plug in. The use of the toilets, showers and pool in the hotel is included. There is a wonderful restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinners. We can highly recommend the lamb shops and the massive 350gr steak. The menu is huge including fish, chicken, pasta and Russian dishes.
There is free WiFi and security at the parking lot, so it's very safe to stay here. The streets are very quiet, there is lots of shade under the trees. Note: we parked at the back of the parking lot next to the playground. Not recommended though, the ground is very soft and we had troubles to get out. It's much easier and firmer (gravel) to park under the trees behind the security booth. In walking distance you will find a Super 6 supermarket, a Burger King and Casa Rica (superb supermarket with lots of German food) is only 10 minutes away on foot.
Be aware though, that there is no dump station in this area. So please empty your toilet tank in advance or use the toilets inside the hotel.

It is a parking.. nothing more nothing less.

Report Check-In

85k per van. I travel alone so it is expensive.

Report Check-In

Perfect place for a capital. Nice parking lot with electricity and perfect wifi. The bathrooms are inside the hotel. A shower cost 25k for 2 persons. But you can also use the free shower (hot) at the swimming pool for free. Price is 85k for 2 and a van. The swimming pool is amazing in these hot days.

Report Check-In

85000 Gs for the parking lot per night for 2 adults and a camper van. The pool was great to cool off after 35 degrees that day! Hot shower/bano use was 25000 Gs extra that we could share amongst the 2 of us. Shower was extremely clean so it‘s OK.

All in all we were really happy to have found this place, worth paying a bit more than for a normal camping. Staff was also super nice and friendly.

Flat spot (2 or 3 vans possible).
Access to the pool and the toilets. External shower at the pool.
Electricity on site. Pretty quiet in a fancy neighborhood.
We paid 85.000 for 4 pax and a van.
Good wifi.

Price: 70.000 pesos (2 pax and a camper) per night. Electricity provided and good internet connection at the parking ground. Toilet and shower free of charge in the hotel.
We also enjoyed the swimming pool.

Parking area is not that special but it’s a good spot when visiting the city.

we stayed in the parking lot that is next to the hotel, on a dirt floor, there is no water, but there is energy and a waste disposal point. they offer a restroom in the hotel, but the hot bath is paid separately and costs 35,000 guaranys. I paid 79,000 for the car per night. worth it

Now they have a possibility to dump and shortly a toilett.

This place is still open! It's the parking area of hotel Westfalia, Lots of shadow, not very quiet in daytime, the receptionist's also speaks german and english and are very friendly and helpful. WiFi signal ist too weak in the parking area. toilets (very clean) you can use inside of the Hotel, we dont know about showers. Electricity is available.

You can sleep in your car in their parking for 10 USD. The parking has a guard and seems safe for you and to leave your car to go to the city. Shower is for additional 5 USD/person. It seems expensive on the other hand its clean and nice, better then all the showers at gas stations :-) the restaurant offers german, russian, paraguayan food, for reasonable price. The owners are germans but right know their kids born in Paraguay are in charge. There is a lavanderia close by which can wash your clothes during afternoon for 25000 pyg. Uber is working in this city. At this time there were floods around Asuncion, all the favela people moved to the city centre, we did not feel much safe, but on the other hand at every street there was a policeman.

Now 60K for camper + 2 people. Shower included. It’s quite a good place when you need to stay in the city. No dump station, however the owner will give you a spade to dig a hole. We weren’t so fond of the restaurant though.

Report Check-In

Wi-Fi is nonexistent or weak at the places where you are able to camp. The nearest water tap is at the outside of the hotel, opposite/left of the car park entrance. We paid 10USD/60'000Gs per night for a motorhome with 2 people. Shower is not included (8.50USD/50'000Gs per person). The German dishes we had in the restaurant were delicious, without exception.
