Mexico
Beautiful place with waterfall. You pay twice: 10 Pesos p.p. for the road and 20 p.p. for the entrance. Still cheap & worth it.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Updated price as of March 2024: 70 pesos pp (20pp for road at caseta 1, 50pp for entrance to the cascada at caseta 2).
DO NOT CAMP/ PARK OVERNIGHT HERE.
Despite asking 4 men upon arrival about our intention to sleep in the van in the car park and leave early in the morning, at 7pm we had 2 men approach asking if we were going to stay the night and if so to pay 200 pesos (to park in a concrete car park with no toilet access/ facilities). They were not friendly about it, we were told to pay it or leave. We left.
As for the waterfall, it is a pretty nice spot to swim/ cool off but it is busy and there is nowhere comfy to sit (terrible rocks for sitting). This made it hard to relax.
The entrance to Agua Azul is 80pp total with free wildcamping- this is by far the better option.
Happy travelling!
Must see the waterfalls. They are beautiful. The entrance fee is still as mentioned in earlier post
Report Check-InIt is a pretty waterfall and we enjoyed having a little swim for lunch, but it is really touristy and unlike agua azul you cannot really escape it as the area is small.
You can easily stay in the parking lot, but we preferred agua Azul wildcamping, so didn’t stay.
Prices are as described.
road fees = 10 peso/Person
entrance fee waterfall = 20 peso/Person
overnight stay = free ( try it with a smile)
worth to visit the fall and refresh with a short swimming.
restaurant one off the worst in Mexico, can't recommend.
Report Check-InStill 10pp for the village and 20pp for the waterfall.
We had to pay 100 pesos to sleep on the parking after bargain because they wanted 200 pesos.
No telcel but you can buy wifi at the reception for 10 pesos 1h or 30 pesos 1 day (the wifi is slow but it’s better than nothing after one week without any reception)

Not much to add. The waterfall is beautiful, but dogs are no longer allowed. Not in the water at least... We hoped ours could swim to cool down a bit, but we could only splash her as there was a guy with a whistle and an angry face 😶. Anyway, we asked the guys at the tool booth if we could camp and they said yes. Parked behind the restaurant on the large concrete parking and nobody came to collect a fee. The camping at Roberto Barrios falls is much nicer though.
Report Check-InWe visited Misol-Ha and paid the 10p community toll & 20p entry yesterday, but managed to talk our way back into the parking lot today at 6pm without paying those fees again. However, the restaurant requested money for overnight camping— they originally wanted 150p, but we told them we were completely self-contained and they agreed on 100p. A couple of girls paid the same to pitch their tent in the grass nearby & there was even a Canadian motorhome parked next to us, so camping is available for everyone!
Large, flat carpark and most importantly MUCH cooler here at night than in Palenque! Worth it to camp down here and drive into town in the morning.
Report Check-Inarrived at 1pm. ask if we can stay for night. OK in parking lot. leave at 9am. we paid 10pesos by people for the road first and 20pesos by people for the cascade.
Report Check-InThe waterfall is nice but the hole atra is very crowded. We paid 10 pp for the road, 20 pp for parking. We didn't stayed for the night.
Report Check-In50 pesos pp to cascada more camping.
wi fi: 10 pesos for hour or 35 pesos per day.
20 pesos to enter the place, asked if we could park for the night, no problem, didnt ask for more money.
went next morning to the cascade, it was 10 pesos more but noone was there to collect the fee
stayed in the parking lot 20 pesos x person, + 10 to enter the waterfall
Report Check-Inwanted to sleep here with 3 trucks.
we talked very nicely to then and they asked unfriendly 150 per vehicle just for parking (no electricity, no swimming pool...ect)
so we didn't stayed.
bad experience for us.
we slept at the ecotouristico nearby, but very noisy at night (dogs and chickens all night long)
then later slept to the parking at Agua azul which was surprisingly good and nice (and free)
Beautiful waterfall. Just a short detour from the main road and we'll worth it.
They charge 20MXN/p at the main entrance.
Stunning falls.
Dogs are allowed
We all cooled off and dipped out as it’s a pretty busy location.
Report Check-InNice stop on our way to Palenque; still paying twice- toll road and entrance fee; the water from the waterfall was pretty clear, much better then the water at Agua Azul; the walkway behind the waterfall is wonderful and if you spend another 20Pesos for flashlight you can explore and find a waterfall inside the cave..the water was knee deep.
Report Check-InPaid to enter on the road- 10 pesos per person. The men said we were able to camp, however at the second entrance the man said NO CAMPING. So we left. Not sure if it was just the man on duty that day, but he was pretty firm that you cannot camp here.
Report Check-InNice place. We stopped on our way to Agua Azul. The waterfall is beautiful. Nothing special, but as special as a waterfall can be. There are also small ones where you can stand under. Soooo refreshing! They make you pay twice. Once the road and a few meters later for the entrance. That's weird, but it's Mexico and still cheap :D
Report Check-InStopped for an hour or so on our way north. We must not be waterfall savvy because we thought it was wonderful. The single waterfall is quite tall and the pool it makes at the bottom is a picture perfect swimming hole, very refreshing on a hot humid day. There is a lifeguard on duty who regaled us with tales of overconfident tourists. We also enjoyed the much more relaxed atmosphere compared to Cascades de Azul; no one was aggressive or pushy and there were much fewer hawkers to begin with (visited on a Saturday morning, for what it's worth).
Report Check-InStayed 1 night. Paid 20 pesos for road use, 100 pesos for two adults with a pickup camper in the parking lot incl. restaurant banos and waterfall entrance. Don`t park near the restaurant. Lot of people came late at night and they start cleaning up at 4 am. The waterfall is nothing special.
Report Check-InFine place to stay for the night. We didn't get charged for the bathrooms since we paid to camp. Also didn't go swimming because the water was pretty brown, not sure if it's normally that color or not. Not my favorite waterfall in Chiapas... but you make your own decision!
Report Check-InWe paid in total 30 pesos per person. 10 pesos pp at the entrance (it's optional) and 20 pesos pp for admission. We got around 11 am and it wasn't crowed. They charge 5 pesos for toilets. There is a restaurant too.
Report Check-Instayed in the parking lot for 100 pesos per vehicle. The falls are definitely worth going, the camping is fine for one night
Report Check-Inwe payd 100mxp for overnight sleeping. great parking also for big rigs. no hooks-up.
Report Check-Inpor entrar 20 pp y por uso d la carretera 10 pp.
despropósito con el turista.
Beautiful waterfall with area for over landers (although we didn't stay). 10 pesos/each to "use road" and then 20 pesos/each to enter... They just don't tell you this at the first pay station...
Report Check-InNice place with possibility to swim by the waterfall.payd 30 pesos per person.no cellphonesignal
Report Check-Instayed overnight in the flat and big parking lot. paid 30 pesos per person (10 pesos for the road to get there and 20 pesos entrance fee). nice rainforest sounds during the night, otherwise super quiet. the bathrooms cost 5 pesos.
Report Check-InStayed at the parking lot - you pay 100 for the parking and around 30 pesos per person in fees to enter the park. We had a great time, it was cool at night
Report Check-Inwe stopped in to see falls but did not stay overnight. very pretty site and looked like a good size flat lot for overnights.
Report Check-InBeautiful place with private waterfall, very nice short walk till behind the waterfall. Big restaurant with services. Souvenir shop. Bungalows. I did not stay overnights but they told me that would have been possible.
