Traveled with a dog.
I want to give a quick rundown on our booking process and experience on the boat:
We found the ferry online (https://www.naviosanabeatrizlllx.com/). We reached out to them via Whattsapp 6 weeks in advance because we knew that we wanted to go on a certain date. The booking process works entirely via Whattsapp (+55 91 8528-8025). We told him that we were two persons and a dog and we've sent him a photo of our Landcruiser. He then gave us the price (250R$ per person plus 900R$, so 1400 in total). We needed to pay in advance which is not easily possible via bank transfer if you don't have a Brazilian bank account. In the end we paid by "Boleto". This is some kind of a check that you have to take to a "casa loterica" where you can pay in cash and they transfer the money. No fees. As they could only send one Boleto worth 500R$ each, I had to go there 3 times on 3 different days.
The ferry was scheduled for Saturday 4pm and we were told to be in the port at 12 which we did. A guy leads you into an office where they take a copy of your paperwork and ask you for your keys as they normally drive the cars on the ferry. Obviously I told them that I will not give them the key and drive on the ferry by myself. That was alright with them, no discussions.
We finally boarded the ferry at around 3:45pm. We drove on the boat over wooden planks. There is an open/high roof part and a part where the roof is very low. We expected to park in the high part but in the end where lead to the lower part. That was a pity because we could not pop our roof. So if you have a pop up roof and want to sleep in the car, ask them beforehand to park in the open space. In the end one of us slept in the car, the other one pitched our hammock just behind the car. That was no problem for them.
The upper decks are full of hammocks.
Breakfast is 10R$, lunch and dinner 25R$.
The ride took around 25 hours and it's just stunning riding through the small rivers in the rainforest and seeing how the people live there.
The dog costs 100R$ extra which was paid in port. Dogs are only allowed on the car deck.

We booked the crossings to Macapa here. Josias is responsible, with whom we communicated via WhatsApp (+55 91 8177-2177). Departure: Friday 3 p.m. First we had an offer for R$1,100 for the car and R$300 per person. Because of our vehicle height of 250 cm, we were referred to the "Ana Marques" which has open parking spaces at the rear. No discussion about sleeping in the vehicle. However, the price for the car then amounted to R$ 1,500. Payment by credit card and very helpful service!

Booked here to get to Macapa. Payed 800 for my large LandCruiser and 170 as passenger. In Santana port paid another 50. Never asked but sneaked into my camper to sleep. If fully booked the hammock space is very tight. Good ship, very well maintained. Good food for 15 reais. Stayed in porto Lider for three days waiting for the ferry. Free.

Navies Ana Beatriz III (the boat itself hasVIII on it) and IV leave from here to Macapa. I have updated departure times and attached a poor photo of the sailings as posted in August 2019.

If you come down to the port you may get a better price or you can buy at the Hydrovaria Passenger terminals. The Anna Beatriz III is the larger vessel and can take tall vehicles. Telephone (91) 3222-5604 or 3031-5899 or 99321-7062.

Note - We insisted when we purchased our tickets that we would be allowed to sleep in our vehicle. This was hesitantly agreed to and we had to reiterate this quite a few times as they would have preferred us to sleep in a hammock on deck. We loaded the van the night before, slept in the van that night - good toilets and showers. all staff very friendly. Cost in total 1,400R. including 300R for two passengers.

The day of departure you are not allowed to leave Porto Lider on the boat. You have to make your way to the Hydrovaria and re-embark there.

Prices that mentioned "omsever" remain in force. We arrived here with the intention to go out on Wednesday on a boat that only accepts car low to 2.10 m (our Delica have 2m without roof rack) However the day before we warned that boat wasn't going to leave. Then the company (irmaos Santana) sent us to company "Leon of Marajó". We charge 1000R by our van and 2people. We believe that could be negotiate a better price. We await 2 night in the port. bathroom and shower very rustic(free). Not recommend visit ports at night
