Paraguay
Campground next to a beautiful waterfall and big natural swimming pool (careful very deep). Facilites are simple but clean. Electrical connection at the toilets/showers building. Access road to here isn’t terrible and dry you don’t need 4WD but a little clearance is a must. 8km before this point the you need to cross a private property, there is a guard will let you in. Heavy rigs owners ask the guard about the bridge, it looks ok for a 6-7 ton truck. There is plenty of room there if you need to turn around. 30000g per person per night or 10000g day access. Avoid on weekends.

Report Check-InAttention, access to the Salto Cristal currently only possible from the Lower Side, from the southwest (signposted the last kilometers).
We couldn't find access from the north. Campsite coordinates are wrong.
S 25°58.763' W56°43.447'.
Currently easy access from Valle Pe on a gravel road, 2WD possible if dry.
Nice campground, there are large campsites and a separate picknick area.
Leveling is a bit difficult in the lower campsite. Not many power connections. Clean toilets, currently only cold shower. There is a kiosk. Easy access to the Salto Cristal.
ATENTION BIG RIG OWNERS the climb is a heavy one. it is not signaled and if your rig is a heavy one think twice before going up (might be safer to take a taxi from la colmena)we lost our grip changing from 2nd gear to 1st gear and crashed in free wheel over the fence and into the grass in our mercedes benz bus the we heard some lethal accidents climbing the small but fierce cerro so don't be overconfident!
Report Check-InBeautiful camping next to waterfall. Beautiful spot to stay two or three days. We payed 60000/ two nights/two people. We are in low season.
Report Check-InDepending traffic it could take 3 hs from Asuncion.
It’s better to go during the morning because of the sun.
If it didn’t rain, I think any vehicle can make it now I think.
There is a sign to go to “eco aventura Nuevo Acceso” (the old one is destroyed)
We also tried the old one. But we couldn’t make it. Both because of the road for the car and because the pedestrian path to the cascade had collapsed.
You have to enter private property. They have parking
It’s 20.000 PYG per person
for us the campground didn't worth the journey to get there because it wasn't leveled, clean and well taken care. we took a look walking and saw we couldnt get to the campground with our van because of the high (cables at 2m crossing). there is another entrance with other owners we didnt check because it started to rain so we left
