A lot near the road along San Juan river, really quiet, there are several places to park, doesn't work if rains

This larger cleared space off the dirt road is between the river and the Famous Mexican Hat. If the moon is bright you can see the “hat” but in the morning it’s amazing. All around there is spectacular views. From here we could see other people’s cars in the scattered spots, but couldn’t see people or hear anyone. The sound of the river is beautiful.
Report Check-InDidn’t stay but checked it out. Larger vehicles (40ft) can’t make it here because of the steep grade and immediate sharp turn of on a small portion of the road going in. This portion of the road is also being eroded away from underneath if you look alongside the cliff.
