South Africa
Wonderful Campsite with lots of animals. its like a day on a farm. Owner are very friendly. Ablution is fine. You can use washing machine for only 15 Rand. The next Shop is to far to walk. It was very funny to stay there, because of the several animals. I would check in here again.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
It's still here. We tried to call them and they didn't pick up, so we just showed up. Still open, but uncertain for how long. Price is 300 rand per night for two persons. It's a bit of a rundown camp though. They are also constructing new roads for the upcoming project on the campsite, so not really calm. Calm at night thought, so good if you're out during the day.
Report Check-InYes, the place is still open. Same animals around and clean ablutions. ZAR 250 per site per night with electric. Some shade and wind protection. Nice owners Ria and Chris telephone 0217891225
Report Check-InIt is like the others have writen. But it is possible, trat the camp would be open although in February, because the goverment dose not sag yes for their buildings ;-)
Report Check-InCareful! This caravan park will be closed in Jan 2022. The Farm will be developed into housing Area. Good bye chapmans peak caravan park. The end of a 20 year old story :-(
Oct 2021: still lots of spots and lots of permanent campers.
Paid 180 for one person.
Beautiful grass camping sites with electricity, water and a braai at each site. It is pet friendly but pets must be socialised. Chickens, ducks and geese roam the camp site freely.
Report Check-InSaw at the entrance that this spot is a caravan farm, a good discription. Caravans storage, long term residents, overlanders, local holiday makers, retired swallows and everything in between, on a n operating farm with turkeys, geese, ducks, chickens, cows, horses, gosts and more. The location is what makes this site so popular. The ablutions were good, with a token operated washing machine and dryer.
Report Check-Inokay campsite.
Loads of ducks and geese poop to step on, otherwise it was a fine campsite.
Not the greatest campsite around the Cape. Loads of long stay-guests and lot's of ancient caravan(wrecks?); it felt like a mess here. No views and no beach nearby. Toilets were okay & clean. We liked Froggy Pond on the east-side of the Cape much, much better
Report Check-InPaid R270 p2pn, can buy some fresh eggs too. Very nice with lots of farm animals.
Report Check-InOkay campsite. Lots of animals indeed! Ablutions are reasonably clean. Shower is warm, not hot. Friendly reception. Usually 200 rand per site per night, I was told, but since I was alone and in low season I paid 150 rand which is still quite steep IMHO. Washing machines costs now 20 rand per token. 1 token = 1 load. But it's only washed with cold water, and if you need to use the dryer as well (like on a rainy day like today), it costs 2 tokens extra, as 1 cycle is not enough to completely dry it.
