South Africa
Large grass terrain, mountain view.
Basic but clean and convenient near the main road to downtown Cape Town. Cheapest place to camp near Cape Town. Attracts many black South African tourists. Safe place. 148 Rand per night for 2 persons and a car including electricity.

i couldn stay becouse the office was closed.
they dont alowed me to park and pay next day.
very bad actitude from the guards.
Basic campsite with communal ablution block.
As the other reviews say you have to go to the Muizenberg Civic Centre to book Mon - Fri which is open until 3pm.
Some paperwork to fill in but didn't take too long and then went to Checkers to pay but did not need to return to the civic centre following this.
All the staff were extremely helpful and gave us advice on where to go!
Not busy given its winter!
We didn’t have the best experience here. Firstly to note: it’s a 2 night minimum to camp here. When we arrived to the gate of the campground they informed us we had to go to the Civic center in town to book, we could not book in at the campground itself nor online. At the civic center it took 1 hour to register paperwork with them, go to nearby Checkers to pay, and then return to the Civic center before 3pm when they close. Then when we arrived back at the campground we found out the pool was closed. Ablutions were clean but that’s about it. No picnic tables or seating areas. Due to lack of facilities, lengthy procedure and 2 day minimum we would not stay here again.
Report Check-InWe arrieved on a saturday and was not allowed to stay even if the campsite was not fully booked. You need a resevation which could be only made by e-mail monday to friday.
Report Check-InHuge campsite near cape town. Shadow, but not a lot private space. Ablution ok and clean, hot water. we paid 202 Rand (2 people).Nice staff.
Report Check-InWe paid R275 for 3 persons and a car. High season. Campsite is fine, grassy pitches, not so much shade during the day but in the mornings and afternoon it's fine. Ablutions clean.
Don't really get the previous comments it's just a normal South African campsite close to the beach!
Report Check-In212R vor 2 persons one Night (high Season). Ablutions worse than West Africa.
