Description

Hotel, Rooms, Appartement with beautiful view on Lake Bosomtwa. We asked to stay in our rooftent on a landcruiser and it was no problem. They charged us 15 cedi per person per night for using the toilets and showers.
For entry to the ranch you need to climb at least 15% on a road. There is no space for big riggs, and not really a flat ground for tents. But you can rent just a bed on a platform under a roof as well.
The ranch has direct acess to the lake for swimming or renting a canou. You can also go for hiking or horseriding around the lake.
The Rooms start from 40 cedi to 115 including toilet, shower and ventilation.
The Restaurant offers healthy veggie food starting from 24 cedi.
They have real bread for breakfast!
We stayed here for almost a week and enjoyed it.

Charming little spot with a beautiful view over the lake. Food is available, from 40 to over 110 cedis depending on the menu. There are also lots of different kinds of rooms, the cheapest being the dorm (140 cedis) and the most expensive the family bedroom (500 cedis). You can ask for extra mattresses (50 cedis each). Also, water is free, and you can probably come and sleep in your car, although the parking is small and on a hill.
WiFi is available upon request, except during the evenings as the owner Élodie has to be around (she'll share her 4G with you), and she usually goes back to her house early.
Otherwise, you can go horseback riding (150 cedis per person and per hour), canoeing on the lake, hiking, biking, or even rent a motorboat. I'm a rider and the two-hour horse tour I did with Élodie was quite fun, although not super sporty because of the sinuous tracks, bikes and people. We cantered once (no gallop is possible), and trotted a couple of times. After the ride, I went to the Cocoa guesthouse (30 min away by foot), where you can eat and also enjoy a very nice swim in the lake.

We stayed one night on the road outside of the property as the incline was too much for our van. We had dinner, veg stew and wild rice, salad & breakfast cinnamon porridge, both very tasty they also have good homemade drinks.

Nice view of the lake from the terrace, one night was enough for us, there were a lot of flying insects

Lovely little gem tucked in amongst the trees with a spectacular view! Easy to get to with public transport and worth the effort to decompress and get away from the world for a bit. Dorm bed 110 cedi, meals in the 50 cedi range. A one-hour horseback riding trip is 150 cedi and was very worth it in my opinion even though we got rained on. Fantastic place to stay a few days, drink wine or tea and have long talks with Élodie.

As said before, beautiful eco-friendly pmace built on a steep hill with a big terrace, an amazing view of the lake, great vegan homemade food and even nice red and white wine. Perfect place to relax and chat with Elodie, the super friendly owner who likes to hear overlanding stories. We slept in the dorm for 90cedis each, nice and comfy, mosquito nets, dry toilet and great shower. All clean, all good, would definitely recommend. The entrance is pretty steep tho, so careful with bikes.

Still open in 2022. Campsite is 25 cds/pers. toilets and shower. Mineral water also. Wifi available on request. It's a beautiful place very quiet. The view on the lake is amazing. Breakfast, diner cheap and good. There are a lot of games also. With our Landrover Defender we succeed to park, no problem. We enjoyed a lot this ecological place and Elodie the owner is a true rasta, friendly, attentive and so nice.

It’s a nice place with a beautiful view over the lake. (Hazy during harmattan.) Cheaper than the nearby Cocoa Village, (150 cedi for double bed/ 45 cedi for dorm bed) and the food is 24 or 26 cedi, vegetarian. Élodie, the French owner, is pleasant and talkative. They offer horseback riding and are located a minute away from the beach. A great place to hangout, talk, read, and relax. With Green Ranch, you’re in the trees; Cocoa Village you’re by the water. Great atmosphere. Be sure to bring plenty of money if you don’t want to have to do a mobile money transfer. We payed 80 cedi for an Uber from Kumasi, others payed 70 cedi.

we came here with our small truck and we could manage to drive up and park in front of the house of the owner. our car is 2m80 high, 2m width and 5m lenght... anything bigger is not possible, our car was a just fit. if you have a tent, she will find you a spot.
we really loved the place, they have the best view of the lake. so if you will not stay here, just go there for a drink and enjoy the view! there are enough places to sit and relax and there are hammocks. the shower and toilet are very clean! camping is 25c/pp.
dinner was ok, but a little expensive for what is was (between 25c en 50c).
the owner is really friendly and doing things for the enviroment: they do not use plastic like plastic bottles of water, they have filtered water out of their own well, they work active along with the community to sustain the surroundings of the lake, etc.
she lives here for 12years and it was really interesting to hear her opinion about Ghana.

Report Check-In

I hoped to park up here but there was only one spot next to an abandoned car and in proximity of the horses (smell and flies).

I'm sure it's great for rooms but not at all suitable for camping or parking up. Go to Wildwin instead for this.
