People say this place doesn't allow overnighters anymore

Report Check-In

Parked in the west parking overflow behind the hotel. Almost no one else parked there except for 4 - 40 foot retro bus conversions. They had all circled up to camp so we pulled in just down from them against the trees. We enjoyed a concert then the casino afterward and crashed in the van with no issues. Didn’t check in. Great spot to stay!

NO OVERNIGHT RV PARKING ANYMORE, talked to the security, guest services and hotel all said the same! Not RV friendly anymore! 👎👎👎

Report Check-In

I asked at the security desk and was told no overnight RV stays. The usual parking area is now a construction site with major grading under way.

We ended up coming back to Calgary for a concert and stayed here again with no issues. As I mentioned below - go to the Hotel, not the Casino. They’re really nice and had no issue with us staying in their overflow lot, which is just across the main parking lot from the original field everyone was staying in. Photos of this lot have been added as well. Nice views and away from the construction (for now at least). Someone may want to create a new pin for the Hotel Overflow but it’s so close and all part of the same area I don’t think it’s really necessary

Report Check-In

The security told us, it is no more alloud to stay overnight for RV's, so we moved to the weaselhead Park, 2 km further on.

Report Check-In

There is not overnight parking permitted any longer due to construction.

Report Check-In

as of 7/19/22- they are not allowing anyone to park overnight unless staying in the hotel. they said it’s due to construction in the area where they usually let you stay. however, i noticed the last person who stayed here checked just 4 days ago. and the construction clearly has been going on longer than just 4 days. so maybe i just talked to the wrong security guard. either way- i didn’t stay here

Report Check-In

Staying here for Calgary Stampede, checked in with casino security for 3 nights with no issues. They told us to park in the field but there is currently tons of construction going on - we parked in the Event Center parking lot instead. Next day we talked to the Hotel front desk and they told us we could park in the large gravel lot behind the hotel. Just filled out another form with them, no charge and super friendly

Report Check-In

Grass covered fields across from the Grey Eagle Casino Calgary. We pulled in at noon on Friday June 24, 2022
Very level area where we parked our 5th wheel. Had rained all night before and still raining so the big field is pretty wet but we got in with no problems. Set up and disconnected. We are going over to check in with security as directed. Then we plan to hang out in the casino. Maybe go to a show, who knows?

Report Check-In

As mentioned..
- large grass field across from the casino/resort
- clean & level
- can stay many days (consecutively)
- must register with security (they’re friendly)

Report Check-In

just arrived at the field. 3 other trailers and someone repairing a car. checked in with security in the casino. took bus 13, over the bridge near petrol station, downtown. Came back with no.66 which dropped us near the casino. As Calgary is not dogfriendly we only stayed 1 night . late at night more trailers and noise about 10 more

Report Check-In

awesome spot check with security first very nice people clean quiet place

Report Check-In

Good parking, wifi is working, security is kind.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for the second time. During our first stay we parked at the grassy parking but then we noticed some weird campers so we decided to ask the security if we could park by the event center. They allowed us and same for the second time we parked by the event center. Security said it’s ok to park there since there’s no event going on otherwise it would be at the designated RV parking

Overflow parking lot ……….. ……….. ……….. ………..

Free to stay. Sign in at the front security desk. Can sign in for 3 days then just need to sign in again to stay longer. They allow campers in the grass lot across the road from the casino - not in the paved car park.

Report Check-In

We stayed here without a problem. There were 3 other campers / trailers in the grass field and some in the parking. The Hotel's wifi doesn't reach the grass fields and it isn't public anymore. You need to ask for an authorization code or a password. Didn't bother asking since I did not need it. Maybe the casino's wifi is free. Quiet place and no one bothered us. There's a lot of space.

Report Check-In

across from the casino was never bothered, police check on us ,and it was no problem parking over night ,was here 3 nights went shopping and hiking in calgary in the day time.
flat field ,too bad the Casino was closed due to covid-19

Report Check-In

They still allow overnight in these times of COVID. But you have to register at the entrance of the casino. You can stay as long as you want (but you must register).

We stayed two night and were alone. Very quiet on the grassy lot in front of the casino.

Bus 66 nearby takes you directly to downtown Calgary. Super convenient

Report Check-In

We've stayed here 2 nights so far as we wait for improved weather. We checked in with security and they were very welcoming. We stayed in the paved lot in front of the Event Center. We were able to get the password to their WIFI and we had excellent internet connection.

Report Check-In

stayed 1 night. asked security if we needed to register but they advised it's ok for 1 night. it was exceptionally quiet and flat spot. very easy and only 5 RVs in a massive open grass field. we enjoyed dinner and drinks at Casino.

Report Check-In

Big grassy field with plenty of space. Security was very nice said I could stay longer than three days if I Register again. Plus they said they,d give me money if I go inside : )

Report Check-In

We parked in the overflow area as well. it was okay. No one else was here.

Report Check-In

Big grass lot
Check in with the security first
And for those who have dogs, please pick up after them, there is crap all over the place....

Report Check-In

Stayed in the overspill parking lot. Asked at security and he said it was fine, just for one night so didn’t even need to register. Free WiFi from the hotel and nice toilets. Really great spot for Calgary. I had gone to weaselhead flats first as have stayed there before on previous trips to Calgary but was a bit unnerved that it was totally empty - my past experiences there there’ve been a few campers staying the night - and a sign saying the park is closed between 23:00-05:00, so was relieved to come here without any problems. The security guys were really nice!

Report Check-In

Super groß und komplett leer der Platz. Bei der Security vom Casino anmelden klappt prima. Nur wenn ein Event ist, könnte es etwas lauter sein wurde mir gesagt. In unserem Zeitraum war es ruhig.
WIFI: GERC, hotel001

Report Check-In

Big bright parking lot. 24 hour video surveillance. We asked at the casino if it was okay to park our car overnight and it wasn't a problem. Small walk to bus 112, which takes you into the city. No toilets though. We went to Weaselhead Park.

Report Check-In

It’s near the casino parking lot but the rv sites are located in a field so if you put in the right position your rv you have a very beautiful views over the field even tho you are in a parking lot ! And it’s free!
You can need to register by the security officer located just near the entrance, you can stay 3 days but we stayed 4 nights and he said no problems! You are 15 min from downtown and there is a bus station near by. A great option to be staying in Calgary.
