Big parking lot on the top of a mountain, quite quiet.

no longer free. a dude has taken charge of the Mirador bar and now charges $2 per person to camp. lovely eccentric guy. dirt is hard to get pegs in for tent campers but we managed it eventually
Report Check-InStill a very good place to camp. The parking below is gravel now with some nice plants. Great views. Paid 1 dollar to get on (Sunday)
Report Check-InGreat place to camp! At first it looks like a big dirt parking lot within sight of road, but if you drive to the right side there is a track leading down, and there are lots of places to camp, as said. If you go all the way down to the quarry you may be within sight of the mirador and main parking lot, but if you immediately turn right after starting the descent there is a large fairly level grassy area right behind the hill that gets you out of sight and cuts down the road noise. Nobody came up or down the dirt track all evening, night, and morning, so it was perfect! Not a lot of bugs and not cold at all, but foggy.
Report Check-InMultiple nice flat spots hidden from the road. Google fi gets signal
