Description

iOverlander cannot verify if wild camping is permitted at this location. It is your responsibility to verify local laws or obtain consent before staying the night.

Just beyond the control of the Argentinian police we pulled out to the river and stayed for the night between two trees at the river. A lot of flies. Visible from the street. We came here directly from the Chilean / Argentinian border without having done the border formalities for Argentina. But it was not a problem, you can also do it a day later.

Some horses grazing around.
Several places for any kind of rig.
Some trash around as usual.
Several fire rings around.
Crazy windy from sunset to midnight, so no flies. But it was quite difficult to make fire.

Quiet and very pretty spot at the river.

You have to tell to the gendarmeria that you wanna stay in between the borders, so they won’t wait for you at the other end.

There are fire pits but not enough wood to make a fire, so bring your own.

Very nice place at the river and unter trees. No flies. There are several spots to choose.

Pretty place to camp next to the river. Trees so shade and wind protection. We didn’t camp here because it was too early for us but would have loved too!

Very nice place to stay overnight, right next on a small river. If you come from the argentinian side, please inform the police checkpoint 650m uphill from this place about your plan to stay overnight. Otherwise they will start to search after you, because you missed this checkpoint.
