Description

Along the river, about 1 km from the entrance of the park. The facility is brand new, the bathrooms were not yet in operation. Cold shower and clean toilets at the visitor center (400 m). Bird observation tower, benches and tables. Very helpful and caring employees. The admission to the Petrified Forest costs an additional US $ 1 / person. Great hikes on boardwalks in the park. We were the only guests and received the key to the park gate from the Ranger. (3 US $ / person)

bosque petrificado official campground, ask the rangers at the bosque petrificado for permission. 3$/p, cold showers (little pressure), electricity, big area with tables and raincover, wifi. Overlooking the river. Look for a brown gate on the right. There is no sign and it doesnt look like a camping unless you go down to the house. Steep and a bit rocky to get down.

Latest Check-Ins

Great place for one night. We had the place to ourselves. $5 per person per night.
Tables, benches, running water, cold refreshing showers.
Not good for big rigs or campers unless high clearance since the entry is very rocky and steep!
Pitch your tent under the roof.

Report Check-In

Spent a quiet night here. None of the facilities were open, but there is a big covered area with lights and there is an electrical outlet.

Report Check-In

Well maintained facility at river just after the park entrance. Toilets, cold showers, 110V, no wifi, low water pressure. Muddy after rain. Very quiet. USD 3 for 2 persons and camper. The turn down to the river may be too tight for big rigs.

Great place to stay for night. A guide showed us down to the camp spot when we arrived after dark, 100 metres into parque, and turn left on driveway and drive down near the river. Driveway down a little over grown but fine for a two wheel drive, may be dicey if it has been raining alot. Very quiet, covered area with lights and tables, got power with 10m extension cord, banos locked though. Free wifi, guide gave us code. Free.
