Amazing spot!!
From Oct to April $6 for primitive spots with table and firepit. $14 for electric sites 30 amp. High season is $14 primitive or $20 electric. Easy to walk in to primitive sites, but consider making reservations for electric sites in high season as it gets busy. Onsite payment is cash only in an envelope deposit box.
There are potable water and waste bins. 9 miles from i-80.
There are trails, fishing, beach access, hunting and more. More than 90 spots , nice grass area. Many spots are just not leveled. We stayed near the water, nice and quiet.
No showers or washrooms October - April - just vault toilets

We have stayed at this park before - its convenient when having to travel the i80. Nice quiet stay - very few people in the park - no washrooms though other than vault toilets everything is shutdown until mid-April. $14 for electric, $6 for primitive site - although we didn't need electricity we chose an electric site as the primitive sites are not very level
Report Check-Inlovely campsite, we paid $14 for non-electric right by the lake, with a fire pit and table. electric sites were very busy, but non-electric was virtually empty and we walked in without a reservation on a Saturday in August with no issue. clean toilets and showers, potable water, dump station. second time coming here, great place to stop on our way up or down the USA.
Report Check-InThe second largest State Park in Iowa for the number of campsites. This is a beautiful, quite lake. Off season non-electric sites right on the lake for $6.00 per night. They have modern and vault toilets and a newly updated shower house.
There is an abundance of water fowl and pelicans gather here for mating season in early Spring each year.
Stayed here a few nights. The cost is now $20 per night. Water is off at dump station but on in camping area. Nice and quite
Report Check-InNice looking site. Quite busy when I came by (Saturday Oct 2, 2021).
As of this date price is up to $14 non-electric / $20 electric.
I didn't stay due to price.
Report Check-InNice spot with 9 hole disc golf course
Grassy spots
Level for our sprinter
very nice location. Very quiet. Altitude is 750 feet and not 2665 like in the description. Others reviews were spot on. Oct to May price is indeed $11 for electric and $6 or no power.
Report Check-InFor $ 11 you get more then what you pay for.
On site there are showers + drinking water + dumping station + water front site.
The only negative is that the site is not really levels but if nothing else to say that for $ 11 it's a solid march.
$11 for a non electric site when we were here. Open year-round. Free showers. nice sites either on the water or back in the trees. Quite busy, even in early May. really an amazing spot though.
Report Check-InNot crowded during the week in May. We camped in total privacy by the water. Price is now $11 for non-electric site, payable in cash which you leave in an envelope. No change available. Clean bathrooms. Showers available.
