Unchanged from last visit other than one washroom was out of service until further notice. We stayed at the level ground by the entrance rather than up by the washroom because people do visit it at night.

You can also drive straight into the pond. Walk in first to make sure you can fit.

Nice and quiet, few local came around and leaves at 22:00 or around. Didn’t get disturbed.

From here, you can walk up the road / hill until you find three painted boulders, very close to the entrance to the commercial RV park. The path from there leads to the entrance of an abandoned, underground, military hospital. If you are into caving or taking calculated risks, it might be fun to explore.

We had the RCMP come by for a visit. I figured we were going to get kicked out of the picnic area -- but no, he just stopped by on regular patrol and said all is fine.

People do stop by the washrooms at night in cars, so you will have a few visitors.

2022 update - all facilities reported including a tap with water by the bathrooms still function. Lights and toilet paper in washrooms.

Endroit paisible avec installation sanitaire (toilettes), gazebo et plusieurs tables à pic-nique. A quelques
pas du ferry d'Argentia.

large picnic site from the former military base of Argentia. Tables, shade, non potable water, flush toilets, BBQ place, shelter. It is very convenient spot if you go / come from the ferry, not specially nice, no views, no beach or so but quiet.
