Perfect for the night. Quiet and dark. Did have some helicopters come through early in the morning. Watched sky divers land in the mid afternoon. Great walking/running trail from the boat launch along the river to spirit square in downtown golden. About 2.2km one way.
Report Check-InStayed here and left at 3am because we sleep in our car and have to have the windows open and the mosquitoes were so crazy in this area biting us absolutely everywhere. We couldn’t handle it anymore so we had to leave. If you don’t need to leave the windows open then it’s a great spot but if you’re like us then spare yourself the misery.
Report Check-InThe lady at the visitor centre reccommended us to stay here. We stayed 2 nights and no one bothered us. We were in a truck with another camper truck with us.

Report Check-InNice place not far from golden. Access to the river and a pit toilet. It was very clean.
Great location between NPs. The town is cute and has all services. Nice view of the mountains.
Exactly as described before, quiet, dark at night. Talked to the nice people living at the airport (my dog was playing with theirs) they said people stay there all the time. One other white camper van stayed. Down the road more, as you're coming to this spot, after you go over train tracks and road starts to turn left, there were people there with a tent. Some mosquitos. Overall nice quiet peaceful night.
Report Check-InFabulous little spot, quiet even though it's next to a small airport. Just light planes and helicopters and used a couple of times a day. Quiet road - almost no traffic. We stayed in a 24 ft RV and parked nose in, enough room off road for around 4 cars/vans . Rigs bigger than 24ft can't fit here. There is a toilet block nearby across the road (open 24/7 we think). Lovely clear river. 5 min drive to town.
Report Check-InAcross the road from the quiet Golden airport. Parkin for 4 or 5 cars or trucks. Quiet and on the river. Tables, benches, garbage can and pit toilet. Free to stay. On the edge of Golden BC.
