Absolutely gorgeous crystal clear turquoise blue lake! 13 mi off Hwy on a pretty rough road, and only 5 sites. They were full when we got there @1pm on a Tuesday. Sites are dirt, humpy and super uneven. I would not take a trailer in there. Room to maneuver would be difficult! It’s fine for tenters, vans or truck camper type units. Host on site. One clean pit toilet. No potable water or trash receptacle. Nice pebbly beach area to launch your water toys, kayaks, etc. Free w/ a 5 day stay limit.

Very nice, has a campground host now that seems to enforce the rules but still free. Came on Tuesday, got one of the last spots, no service with cell booster. So I left to make some calls, came back and was able to get the best spot by the water that actually does have a little bit of Verizon service with the weboost, Not much but enough to send texts. Absolutely beautiful lake.

Full when we got here a couple of nights ago. Lots of huge trailers and people, they looked long term with the amount of stuff they had with them. Very muddy in mid June after heavy rain. Good dirt road getting in. Only two sites on the south side of the lake that were already taken. One camper approached and said the guy restocking the toilet mentioned they're turning this into a group campsite. Seemed a bit small for something like that and not much flat ground. Might have more luck early in the week or early in the day. Beautiful lake though, would've loved to have stayed. There's some day use areas with no camping signs nearby the north campground too.

Free forest service campground. As described, nice place. All of the waterfront spots were already taken when we got here but there is a nice trail on both sides of the campground that leads to multiple day use beach areas. The trail near the pit toilet that leads away from the campground crosses a small creek and leads to a really nice pebble beach area. Our dogs had a blast in the clear water. Chuck, the camp host was nothing but friendly. We enjoyed chatting with him on his afternoon walks. 5 night max stay.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL lake front spots. Picnic tables, fire rings, pit toilet. No service with AT&T. There were a couple “longterm campers” here despite the posted 5 day limit, however they were perfectly friendly. Got pretty cold and windy at night, even in September, so come prepared. No trash service, pack it in pack it out.

Beautiful spot by the lake.
I’m not sure a large RV could navigate the loop. Our 24 footer barely made it.
