no overnight camping, we stopped to work for the day. One of the office workers came by to tell us we can only stay 4 hours and that she had already called the Hwy Patrol to come speak to us. I called the WY DOT who in turn called her manager and confirmed she was wrong and we could stay as long as we wanted, just not overnight. It's a great place other than this one hostile staff. She even enlisted some other people familiar to her but not employees to drive by us and stare, point and wave their hands in the "pack it up" motion, after talking very loudly around us about staying so long. We were inside our van the entire time, with just the sliding door open. Otherwise they have clean bathrooms, picnic tables, and cute bunnies hoping everywhere.

We had a good night here, parked at the top in the pet area. A camper and a couple of cars arrived after we did. All quiet except for distant highway noise.

What a nice place to crash for a night. We were thankful to have a non-muddy spot for the night while it rained so hard. The visitor center had free coffee in the morning. Dumpsters, water spigots at the picnic structures to the left of the bathrooms, bathrooms open all night.

This is definitely the nicest rest stop I’ve seen. They have clean bathrooms, a water fountain inside, great covered picnic tables with charcoal grills and water spigots, a dog exercise pen, and a pet area on top of a hill with GORGEOUS views. We decided to park on the hill overnight to sleep along with a handful of other overnighters. No problems! 10/10 recommend.

wifi wasn't working. nobody in office in middle of the day. watercraft inspection on other side of lot in a trailer. washrooms and water bottle filling station inside at least!

Stunning place to overnight. Lovely views, away from traffic. Highly recommended.

Rest areas are weird… this one is no exception. 1am donuts in the parking lot…a traffic stop by state patrol at 3am…18 wheelers in and out…. You get the point.
Stay at the risk of the possibility of no/little sleep!

Probably the nicest rest area I've ever seen. Visitor center has restrooms, a payphone and an amazing local history area with brochures. Free WiFi as well. Lots of covered picnic areas with grills and water. Free seasonal RV dump and fill station. Pet area up the hill away from the trucks. Whole area is signed "no overnight camping" but apparently that just means no tents and such because there are plenty of people here tonight and I haven't been harassed so far. Boondocker's Bible says WY rest areas are good for overnight as long as you keep it low key.

What an amazing rest area! Clean bathrooms, nice shaded tables with bbq area. It was very quiet and it wasn’t full of cars where we went there. I was able to seat on one of the tables by myself and work from there. Great Verizon signal.

One of the best rest stop, away from the freeway and it has a small museum/visitor center. Nice clean restroom. We parked for a night and it was quiet and got a good nights sleep.

What a great find! One of the nicest rest areas ever. We stayed in pet excercise area to be away from trucks but be aware it's a good walk to bathrooms from there. Wifi does not reach but good cell signal.

Report Check-In

Great place to overnight. There's a play ground, several pet areas including a fenced off leash area.

I stayed up at the pet area (take the right fork at the "Boat Inspection" sign. This is an option for vans and cars only and is farthest from the purr of idling trucks.

A very convenient place (much better/nicer as the Walmart parking) to stay for the night. Heated restroom, with power plugs, free WiFi and phones who are open 24h (it was snowing when we were there). Lots of free brochures/informations incl. maps to take about Wyoming. Nice gree picknick areas wirh shade, water and trash-bins. Away from the freeway. Little noise from trucks who park further down and stay over night too. Recommended.
