don't stay here. the patrouille from etosha will wake you up and make you follow them inside the etosha gate, and you don't want to spend the night there as you have to park at the guide's house and it's loud. also all the guys were obviously drunk, I think they went to a bar and found us on their way back. in the morning they wake you up once the gate opens and tell you to go directly to the gate once we get up. once inside etosha, everyone was nice, it was just annoying talking to a drunk guy who thinks is the funniest.

nice clean and safe camp spot next to road. There were some road workers camping not far from us. They came to greet. And assured us it is safe. Plenty stars. pitch dark. Fresh air. No noise. 2 cars passed from park.

We just arrived here when the police came. We were not to sure if this spot was save and they told us it is not. they were worried about us staying here and asked us to sleep somewhere else. they told us that there is criminal activity in this area. We were allowed to sleep in front of the police office or the gate. We chose the second and they brought us there. At the gate was save but can not recommend it.

It’s a picnic spot like all others in Namibia. No bush to hide. Behind it’s a fence maybe a new one. We wouldn’t recommend this spot for overnight stay.

7km away from the Etosha Von Lindequist Gate. Picnic spot on the side of the road leading to the gate. Not hidden from the road but the only vehicles using this road are the ones going to the park or camps. In the early evening only two cars passed and no others until the morning again. No issues at all. We teamed up with another vehicle who was also looking for a wild camp spot. The options are very limited in this area as it’s all fenced and so this was the only spot we could find. The night before we saw another couple in a small car sleep at the picnic spot further down the road and they said they also had no issues.

We even made a big fire. There are bins and picnic table and benches.

As it’s the only wild camp option I would recommend it.
