Latest Check-Ins

Very nice people, I went to pick up my passport after 7days (and not 10days as they told me); it was not ready, they fill out the system form and print my visa at the moment.

You can change the dates when you pick it

Report Check-In

They required COLOUR copy of your passport, not in B&b!!!

Report Check-In

Open Monday - Friday, 9-13h. Entrance is on the left of the building, parking on the right.

In november there was no need to go in really early and put your name on a list or anything. Just show up, give your passport to the guard, he gives the passport to someone in a booth who writes down your details, get the passport back, wait. For application we were there around 11, pick up around 9, both times waited less than an hour to get in.

Process is easy.
- you need copy passport, copy visa country after Turkmenistan (Iran in our case), 2 (!) passportphotos, didn’t need uzbekistan visa but brought it just in case
- once inside you get 2 forms to fill out, in English, we wrote ‘transit’ for everything (where to visit, where to stay, name hotel, purpose, etc.), just ‘transit’
- the guy speaks some English, he asks your prefered days and entry points, he then ‘writes’ a request letter with this information, you sign the letter, that’s it
- pick up at the border was not available
- he stated the visa would be ready after 12 working days, we called after 7 working days and the visa was ready and approved, with the prefered entry and exit (Nukus-Ashgabat)
- at pick up you pay 55 USD per person, they have change available
- they stick the visa in your passport, waited about 15 minutes for all passports to finish
- we changed the entry date when we picked up the visa, this was no problem at all!
- would definitely recommend this embassy, people are friendly, speak some English and the lady on the phone was very helpful, call in the morning/early afternoon

Fill in the forms with 2 pp photos and have a color copy of pp. They ask travel plans and a name of an hotel. For transit visa we needed proof of onward visa and maybe we get the OK per email in a week then maybe we get to the border and all is OK. Sometimes you are refused a visa.... have a plan B.
