Beautiful campsite near Kansas City. We paid $29 for 2 adults and 2 children no hook up! Showers and toilets are very clean and large. Recommended!

Great County Campground. sites are not all level, but close enough. I think this campground is closed from October 15 - till spring so call ahead. Attendant on duty from 9-9 is the campground host parked next to the entrance station. If you arrive after 9 you will need gate code. We arrived without a reservation and found it only half full. Firewood available for sale.

Arrived at 11:30pm. Sign on the entrance, saying no check-in after 9 PM. Gate was closed. Drove down to lower overflow parking for a boat dock near the entrance. I was able to stay without being disturbed but I passed patrol car on the way in. A few other cars came and parked during the night and some left before morning. Woke to a beautiful lake view and only a couple of cars about 100 yards away.

Great spot. Clean bathrooms with flushing water & free showers. There basic sites are $27/night.

We had a lovely one night stay here. Camp host was very kind. We purchase fire wood at the park entrance and had a nice dinner over the fire. We tent camped with our two dogs and had a really enjoyable time. The grounds were clean and the bathrooms were in decent shape. Camp sites were spacious and we didn’t feel like we were right on top of our neighbors. Was a little tricky to find a level spot to pitch our tent.

Great experience, would stay here again!

Established campground with tent sites, RV sites w and w/o electricity and water. Close to highway but quiet. Paved roads to the campground. Tent sites are $21. Showers and bathrooms on site.
