Stayed 2 nights at the top of the carpark, with agreement from the guards. Stayed inside the truck after sunset. Away from the crowds in season...on a Friday and Saturday night. Used the water tap next to the toilets to refill before park opening.
Report Check-InWe asked to the guard if we could stay, no problem, but depends of the season and of the guy. No fire, no tent. Bathroom with plugs open all night long.
Report Check-Inwe were told we are not allowed to camp here the night. very very busy and huge car park @7pm sunday night. avoid.
Report Check-InHigh Season :
the park ranger didn't allow us to stay at the parking lot. We tried it but he came at 9 p.m. and said politely that he has no allowens to let us stay inside the park.
Great spot to spend the night after visiting the waterfalls and botanical trail. We asked permission at the park entrance and they had no problems with us staying a night. We had a quiet night. There was only one other camper during the night. The toilets next to the parking were open the entire night. When I asked for water suitable for cooking at the stables the guy told me I could use the hose and that the water was suitable for drinking.

Report Check-InVery welcoming park ranger who had no problems with us staying the night (Jeep + roof tent). He gave us a discount to see the waterfall (salto) and his only remark was to have the tent folded in before 9am and of course no fire. There were other campers too. Also bathrooms are open all night. Go to the back of the parking lot for the best spot.
Report Check-InCamping in the parking lot is not allowed according to the person working at the park entrance. 3,000 per person to enter the reserve and view the Huilo Huilo waterfall. On the opposite side of the river from the reserve entrance there’s another trail to a mirador of the waterfall which also charges 2,500 per person. Overpriced just to see a waterfall in our opinion.
Report Check-InQuiet and free parking close to the waterfalls of huilo huilo. If you pass the visitor centre you will reach a new toilet block at the end. Looks very clean, natural and is all wood. Park on the left side of the block so you can enjoy the view of the Choschuenco volcano. No drinking water. Friendly guard told us that the camping was still closed this time of year.
