Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Lovely hosts and plenty of shelter so we could pitch inner only. He will try and convince you to visit the caves and take a photo with his llama sculpture. Paid 10 soles for two people. Their dogs will let you know when you’ve arrived!
Report Check-InGreat possibility to camp with a roof (shade and shelter from rain). The hosts are really friendly. Clearly signalled at the road.
Report Check-InStill open, same friendly owner. There is a flat section with a tin roof for tent campers, no good sections for vans(BUT he also has a place in Limón, about 25mins further up the road if you want to ask). Rustic outdoor shower and bathroom. Cheap, fresh fruit from his garden for breakfast. 10Sol pp
Report Check-InReally nice place to spend the night. Special created flat campsite area for tenters with outdoor shower and some shade spots. The friendly owner has a small fruit plantation down in the valley. He can make you some really nice fresh fruit shakes for 5 soles. Camping is 8 soles pp.
Btw. When we arrived in the afternoon around 4pm no one was there except for the dog. If this is your case as well; just wait and he will show up. And I’m for sure he doesn’t mind if you put up you tent before he arrives.
