Awesome rock canyon! just go through the gate and close it. Then the first sight after the berm, at the Weepaw Springs Wilderness sign is as far as I would go in a big rig or Class C. The roads from here up is Sandy and I would not trust it. The sand is loose in this area.

Right off or 318, this was a perfect place for us to camp right off the road but also tucked away from the sight of traffic. You can still hear the traffic on the road, and in the morning, air traffic was pretty loud, but wasn't a problem. The gate has seen better days, but we made sure to keep it as closed as we found it. Easy for 2WD, you just have to pick the right path, or walk it to knock the large rocks out of the way first. The ground is soft, so bringing any large rigs risks getting stuck..
Report Check-Inthere is no Rock House here, however you're in a gorgeous place with fabulous rock formations. I agree, go through the gate and there's a large area to camp in with rock fire rings.
Report Check-Intruly amazing location! USNF wilderness. a little bit of highway noise can be heard but no problem at night. in and archaeological valley which is particularly cool!!
Report Check-Inrock formations are excellent and even better if your camping rig allows going over a flood birm (BLM gate) approx 300 yds off main hwy. this area can accommodate a large RV. past the gate, hwy noise is less but dirt road is narrow and loose sand. very scenic camp area and turn around about .25 miles past the BLM gate.
