Description

Its a Campground with all things you need.
I visit on 6.11. it was closed but you can stay. Open to 1.11.

We spoke with the owner 3 times prior to our arrival and we were assured with over 100 sites they were open year round. We drove some distance to find the place deserted; the owner returned our call a few minutes later to admit that yes the washrooms were padlocked until May 1 st and the campground manager would be back “soon”. We needed washrooms and we needed a 30 amp to 15 amp adapter. Only washrooms are the public washrooms 1.5 km away in the “village” of Telegraph Cove. Sheesh. The campground manager did arrive after a while and made an adapter available to us. This time of the year the village is closed; the Forest Campground was in the midst of chopping down older trees “so they won’t fall on your RV”, but the place had all the ambiance of an abandoned cut block. This is not to disparage the facility but just to note that these things happen in the winter (and carry on through March evidently).

Latest Check-Ins

We camped there one night while traveling through, there were lots of available spaces in the forest, looked like they had everything from basic sites to full service sites and even some small cabins. Great washrooms with hot showers and even hand dryers, I can tell you how nice that is when you've been on an overlanding trip for 11 days straight.

The caretaker was lovely, she moved us with no problem as there was a low branch in our spot that impeded our rooftop tent.
The facility has wifi for a price but didn't need it.

Loooovely campground in the forest. Warm showers. Such sweet owners. Telegraph cove is a 5 min walk and also very lovely.

Beau camping, bel endroit, douche sans jetons, 35$ pour un site sans électricités, abris pour la pluie si besoin pour manger sans être mouillés. Machine à lavé et sèche linge (3$ le cycle de lavage).

Report Check-In

Nice place, better than the RV Park in town.
