This is a specific spot off of Salmon Creek road. There appear to be a lot of spots on this road, but this was the one we stayed at.
Fire pit, camping a few feet from the stream. 30ft from road, but we didn't hear any vehicles after 9pm.
There is a right turn (as you come from town) off the road directly to the spot that is very steep. A few hundred feet ahead is another right turn off which is much easier to clear. Turn right after exiting NF 24 and the dirt path dead ends in the spot.
No cell signal for us with a booster. Nothing with TMobile/Sprint/Verizon/ATT 4g

Friday 9pm ranger told us this is day use only. He said the signs keep getting stolen but there is no overnight staying here. nice enough to let us stay the night but I guess camping is closed till 3 miles up salmon creek road but many of the sites are blocked by boulders.
Report Check-InThis place looks a bit different since the pictures from 2020. There are large boulders that enforce a pull-through on the large lot, which I could do in my 136" ProMaster, but may not be possible in a larger van or a travel trailer. You could otherwise back up the whole length of the lot, but that may be difficult as well.
This spot is literally right on the river. There's a grassy cliff area about 20ft from the parking spot with a fire pit overlooking the river. The Salmon Creek trail system also goes right through this site.
At the entrance to this site, there was a headless decomposing deer which was a bit discouraging.
Overall, this is a nice spot in the national forest on a dispersed camping section. Dispersed camping is recognized for a few miles down this road (NF-24).
Report Check-InWall Creek Warm Springs is just a 10 minute drive away. Between the river and the road. First entrance is very steep but just 50 feet past is an easier entrance. Hiking/biking path runs through it but very few people came through
