Description

Great hiking and camping. Huge waterfall and long views of the mountain range. Established campsites and or full RV hook ups. Nearly empty in the off season. Rock climbing and bouldering spots available in the park. Very safe but remote. No cell service at all. Great views. Off season site rates were $12 a night. Very clean full shower bathroom. *** Cell service is spotty. Provider dependant ***

A great campground. Hot showers, dump station, nice hiking trails. $33 with 30 amp and water at the sites. Just off the blue ridge Parkway.

Pretty nice campground. surprised how many people are here camping seeing as it is the off season and the temps at night get down to about 35 degrees. Hiked to the Stone Mountain Summit this morning, but it was super foggy and could not see anything.

Report Check-In

Highly recommend. Especially during the off season winter months when a lot of other places are not open

A very nice and out of the way State Park. One issue is that many of the Tent/van sites have steep parking spots while the Tent pads are flat with tables. fire rings, etc. I found site # 7 was nice and flat and few others along the lower main road.

Great park in a beautiful setting. We needed a couple of days in a relaxed setting. Campground was near capacity. $27/night for electrical hookup and water. This was offseason pricing. New rates kick in April 1st. A stream runs at our campsite and a trailhead is within walking distance of our campsite.

Really quiet park in winter. Warm bathrooms and hot showers. Full of deers in the park. Non-electric spot is 22$ a night.

Great spot. Very few here in off season. Nice bathrooms with showers. Level spots with power and water.
