Bolivia
Nice lake when you visit the Pampas. be aware mozzies. We visited in the wet season. Great spot to break journey from Trinidad to Rurrenabaque.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
as the others already have written nice place with shadow. i wouldn't suggest to go for a swim even it would be allowed, the lake looks kinda muddy-dirty. we had no mosquitos, probably because of wind. saw some small caimans and alot of butterflies.
Report Check-InThought that due to its location it might turn into the local party spot at the weekend but while some other party in the distance went on until 5am, this was quiet. You can hook up for free at the big blue abandoned building, power still switched on.
Report Check-InIt is a beautiful and peaceful place a little away from the bustling village.
Unfortunately at the time of visit swimming is not allowed in the lake.
Nice place to spend the night. Quite some people around here day and night, but all very friendly. A lot of space to find a good spot. There is a pier where one can do some fishing or just relax.
Swimming was not allowed, when we were there. A sign was saying that. Some locals said, that there recently had been some accidents with caimans due to their breeding season. But maybe it's also, that the dolphins don't get disturbed. They come to the pier, if you're lucky.
We spent one night here, many people come during the day but most leave after sunset. Some people come and go in the evening but at night it’s completely empty and you only hear the noises of the jungle. There are bathrooms but they are disgusting so don’t count on them. We parked to the left under some palm trees so we are not at the parking with everyone. A family came to say hi and ask us what we are visiting. Everyone is very friendly in Santa Rosa.
Report Check-Innice laguna (with few pink dolfinos). some trash (like everywhere).
be aware : entrance is maximum 3m(20)!!!
