6 Places. No water. No Cell Phone. Very Quiet. Nice view. Only for smaller RV to 22 feet. 2WD entrance.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
very nice place. we stayed one night and it was great. and it s free! we recommend it !
Report Check-InSuper service a free campground with clean pit toilets in a beautifull area. Stayed 2 nights on this wonderfull campground. This time of the year there was only one other spot occupied.Love the walking trail to the waterfall and L2 and L3 back to the road.
Report Check-InThere are six camp spots, one is hike a tent up to it, another camp spot closest to the toilet, is basically the driveway to another, which is great for a group of two or three. They’re literally twenty five feet away from each other. Otherwise not so good. That leaves four spots spaced away from each other. All can view each other but, those four are a good distance from each other. Some nice oak tree’s interspersed between them but not a full screen, just the illusion of privacy, which there isn’t.
As mentioned the place is immaculate though the toilet/wall got hit by some explosive brown…. 🤢
Arrived at 1:30 on a Wednesday one space taken. By 3:30 all four were taken. A bit surprised as it seems pretty desolate here.
Cell tower is just a tease. I hiked up the fire road—couple good hikes from camp, and got two bars of working 5G for maybe 30 seconds, then gone. I get one to two bars LTE showing but not functional. ☹️
Pay BLM camp 12 miles east looked bigger—more camp spots, no cell there either.
stayed here for 3 nights, loved it! Clean toilet with plenty of toilet paper. Picnic table with pavilion, fire ring, and all the spots were flat for parking. A couple of trail options start at this campground parking lot too. We got the last spot on a Friday night, but the other 4 sites are far enough apart that noise from any other group didn't make it to us. Would definitely come back again!
Report Check-InI thought this would be a good spot before driving to Pinnacles; however, coming from the East the road is flooded about a mile past here, just before Upper Sweetwater CG. I am not sure exactly how deep the water was, but it looked too deep for me to want to drive through, so I had to backtrack to the park and ended up tripling my driving time. The campground itself is nice & quiet with expansive views. Very hot mid-August. Only 1 other car there.
Report Check-InWow. Fantastic place. Just a bit further than the one on the left. This is on the right coming from hwy 25. I had the entire campground to myself. It’s hard to pick the best site- they’re all great. Bathroom at top, no water. No internet for quite a distance. I’m ok with that. Shaded tables and fire pits. Would DEFINITELY come back!
Report Check-InNice BLM campground. Camping spots are about 70-80 foot apart. Picnic table, pavilion, fire ring.
Report Check-InReally nice free BLM campground at the trailhead for Laguna Mountain. Though the first-come, first-served campground was full when we arrived, we found roadside camping on BLM land that was quieter than the campground. Great 2.5 mile hike to a beautiful 50 foot waterfall.
Report Check-InI’m really surprised this site wasn’t already on iOverlander! This is a great free campsite, it has maybe six spots all with picnic tables and fire pits and is clean, at the same caliber as a state park site. There are lots of positive reviews for it on Free Roam. We camped there on a Thursday night and there were two or three other cars, so might be busy on weekends.
Report Check-InBy far the best place I’ve camped at. Clean, pit toilets, quiet and has fire ring!
Report Check-InGreat spot worth the drive. Free, extremely well maintained sites with covered tables and nice gravel drives. Pit toilets no water or hookups of any kind. Many Large and level sites. We came in on a Thursday afternoon and it was empty but by Saturday night vans were camping out by the bathrooms and others were creating make shift spots along the hiking trails. - but by Monday morning is was cleared out again. Even with the bustle of eager campers trying to find spots on the weekend it was quiet and beautiful. The sites are far apart and private.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot with great views. Very quite and pristine. Single pit toilet very clean. 4 of 5 camp spots have a partial shelter, a picnic table and fire ring. No water or cell service for miles. Excellent access to cycling and hiking.
Report Check-InFantastic free campground. No water, clean pit toilets. We spent a quiet night.
Report Check-In6 Places. No water. No Cell Phone. Very Quiet. Nice view. Only for smaller RV to 22 feet. 2WD entrance.
Report Check-InQuiet and clean. Nice hiking trails. Bring water. One of the nicest BLM camping site.
