Latest Check-Ins

Absolutely stunning location just a couple miles outside the Canyonlands National Park boundary. About 10 established campsites with fire pits and picnic tables, surrounding a low rock formation, with gorgeous views in every direction. $15 per night fee, minus a 50% discount if you have a national park pass. Some sites are reasonably level and/or can accommodate a trailer or mid-size class C, but there are also a few that would probably be best only for a tent (and some sites have explicit tent pads). The road in from the highway is gravel and suitable for any vehicle, but the road into the campground proper is a combination of gravel, dirt, and small sections of slickrock, and while it's okay for 2wd (if not wet), I wouldn't come in with anything longer than about 26 feet. The campground was about half full when we came on a Wednesday night in early April with our 23-foot van. Two pit toilet buildings, one at the entrance to the campground and another by the sites in the back. No other services. Pretty much zero Verizon signal; this is a place where you'll want Starlink. There are also a number of free dispersed sites along the road to the campground, some large enough to accommodate multiple rigs.

very quiet spot, sandy surface, lots of room, no cell coverage

Report Check-In

Hamburger Hill is one of our favorite boondocking spots. Easy access with a Class A with a toad. Level ground. Superior vista. Enchanting rock formations. No cell service. But Starlink works like magic.

Report Check-In

As described although this BLM campground is no longer free. It’s $7.50 a night which is quite inexpensive. Came in on a Saturday late afternoon and there were still sites available. Beautiful views and quiet!

Report Check-In

Amazing spot! A number of free, large sites with rock fire pits and a BLM campground just outside the Canyonlands boundary. Amazing views and really quiet. Pit toilets at the campground but no other facilities.

Great dispersed camping along Lockhart Basin Road in Indian Creek National Recreation Area. There are many sites with good views of the classic landscape of the Canyonlands
